i'm currently using forceware 177.79 beta. funny thing is riva tuner detects it as forceware 177.72.

it is oc able and quite stable.

thanks to hilmiangah's tip on seting the memory clock manualy i was able to get 6900++ on 3dmark05.

yup. but i notice that the heat sink on my laptop emits a creaking sound when i'[m really pushing it. considering that the laptop is made from plastic and an alloy it was quite frightening.

to solve this problem i'm trying to rig aq cooling hose from my aircond directly to the cooler intake fan to help with the cooling.

loaded temperature is around 65 degrees. that is in an air conditioned room.

under normal situation unloaded an unclock the temperature reading is around 56 degrees.

does anyone have the working temperature on nvidia's graphic cards?

i would really like to know the working temperature of this card. some say at 80 degress it is still acceptable but judging from the heat that emits from the cooling vent i don;t think it is really advisable to let the heat reach that high.

my friend had a laptop with intergrated geforce 6150, it was running at 80+ to 90C when load. quite scary though. luckily it did not melt the parts inside. laugh.gif IMHO 56 idle and 65 load is still quite ok.

hi.. i'm just bought a gc and it work perfectly with my rig.
but the problem is the heat..
idle load heat reach 70'c while max load reach over 95'c (especialy when i'm playing crysis with max setting) and will hang after couple minute playing it..
and its make me freakin out..

so, i was planning to replace the stock cooler with better vga coller..
what is the best vga coller within my budget around rm250.

i was planning to buy cooler master, water cooler but i didnt pretty sure yet..
wanna ask LY forumer opinion first coz many 'sifu' is here..

i use 8800 ultra gc

95 degrees shocking.gif

abit more then can cook water.

better see what is wrong with your air flow management in your cpu.

maybe the air flow is not efficient enough to get the heat out from the casing. u can try opening the side panel and put a table fan to see if it makes any different.

aftermartket cooling kits are advisable and easy to install but try to isolate where the problem is coming from first and from there.

hmm, try Artic Cooling Accelero smile.gif

if you're budget is thicker , try look for Thermal Right HR-03 wink.gif

both are just heat sink , fan not included.

em..
my friend use table fan to cool up his 4870 and its look funny..
as the stock cooler failure to do its job..

i ask my friend either add some fan into the casing for better air flow and he said better buy new vga cooling.. increase the air flow to circulate internal air only reduce little bit of heat inside the cpu casing not the gc core..

reminds me of my bro's biostar 7300gt. passive cooling, idle temp around 80+C, load temp can exceed 100C! dunno why it's super duper hot. tried various methods to improve airflow in the case, but i dont think it worked. after about a year or so using it, it died. sad.gif

nope..cant find a fan that can suit the mounting holes. 3rd party heat sinks are overbudget..so just left it like that lo..good thing that it was a cheap card. if not sure sakit hati.
