i know this might not be a best place to ask but can someone help anyway? i got myself a Cosair 620w Modular. Was wondering if this PSU can handle GTX260 SLI?
i went and use a the power calculator and it told me my specs need 530w at 100% load. that means it is actually possible. no more budget to change to a more powerful PSU.

my specs:
Core 2 Duo E8400
Asus P5ND
1 x 2GB DDR2-800 Kingston
XFX GTX260
Cosair HX620w Modular
1 DVD/RW
1 320gb 7200rpm Sata2 HDD

3 x 120mm LED Silent Fan
1 x 120mm Silent Standard
1 x 80mm Silent Standard

will this system be too much for the 620w PSU to take if i were to run SLi?

*
of cos since corsair this psu is sli certified right? how was ur p5nd performance? have upgrade to 0601 bios?

Added on August 7, 2008, 11:59 pmany1 using gainward gc? how was the performance?

GTX260 SLI with 620W hard lu~~ Ur PSU only got 2 6 pin connector...so you have to find another 2 6pin connector for SLI ...using molex u need 4 molex to become 2 6pin connector...overall is Not recomemded and this way is very dangereos~~~~

installed Forceware 177.79 on my lappy and the gc just love it.

GRID is running much smoother but i notice that my 3dmark06 marks are way down compared to when previously i was using the 175.41.

don't know why??

anybody knows why??

3-way sli is only for high end models. i cant really remember which models exactly tongue.gif low end models like 8400gs do not have 3 way sli. they dun even have sli connectors on them. midrange models only have 2-way sli. unless it's done via software without connecting the sli bridge, then it's a different story.

done some house keeping and my 3d mark06 scores are up by 400. from 3024 now it is at 3478.

the 177.79 is a stable driver but it makes the gc a little hot. my current tempreature is at 45 degrees C. but that is with a large industrial fan keeping it cool down.
i haven't oc it yet.

if i were to use it without any external cooling sources(fans, aircond) the system will get really hot.

cooler pads are also useless.

Guys at the end of this month, i'm gonna be getting Galaxy 9800GT. Although the spec is same as 8800gt, i'm worried about the temp

From the pic, the hsf on galaxy 8800gt(cooler master) and 9800gt *seems* the same one. Can anyone conclude who using either this gfx? hmm.gif
