hmm but seriously, from my own experience bro clawy, i would rather not use bios 14,bios 15.... coz though it helps with the double posting issue, it significantly reduces potential for OC as well as boot up time is rather slow... i also found another issue with both 14 and 15, the fsb clock resets to the default speed of the proc... which sux..

But i believe most of them use bios 14 coz of the so called fixed code for the e2160.. but hmm, besides that.. the auto Vdimm they give overvolts the ram..

foxconn sold edi..my mobo now is p35-ds3...i think no bios since the hardware all run smoothly but no post beep n display...

why you never tell me that you sold your foxconn. ??? anyways u missed out on a great board.

Testing my E2160 now (for my 2nd rig)..... a bit weird with the core temperature.....

Using my old cooler master hyper 48 HSF..... core temp shows 51'c @ 2.6Ghz @ stock..... however, smartguardian shows a similar temperature....

For my Q6600, when the core temp is at 61'c..... smartguardian would show around 51'c......

Must be the Tjunction thingy again..... so does the E2160 have a 85'c or 100'c Tjunction? (Most forums say 85'c...)

Will post some pics after I get a stable OC....

Here's some pics - E2160 OC to 3.0Ghz on DFI Blood Iron....

CPU VID 1.325v
BIOS vcore +50mV (1.375v)
CPUz idle 1.360v
CPUz load 1.344v

Orthos will get errors at 3050mhz.....

E2160 should be able to get 3.0Ghz with stock vcore..

In tat case no need to get Q core 4 me. Juz grab E2160 enuf la.

I don't think mine can..... anyway, I was lazy to test at stock so I bumped up the voltages to see how high it could go.

At 1.425v set in BIOS, load at 1.392v, it was stable at 3132mhz.....

I'm gonna settle for 3100mhz (now orthosing at 1.4125v in bios) due to my not-that-good Cooler Master Hyper 48...

My E2160 @ 333*9 3ghz 1.3811v in BIOS selection, BIOS reads 1.3600v while CPU-Z reads 1.352~1368v.

its depend on what mobo u r using...last time when using ds3 board..i also can do 3.0GHz at stock...but after change board to Blood Iron...need to feed voltage

CPUz idle 1.360v
CPUz load 1.328v

well for my e2140 with the abit ip35-e, i can do 3.1Ghz with 1.325V but yes again, mine is a gem

Grrrrr Currently having my proc doing 333*9 with 1.3600v.

My E2160 also consider half-gem cause can do CPU-z Idle 1.38v Load 1.36v @ 3.2Ghz ..
