errrm, we better keep the data to ourselves. (no sharing here)

who knows certain ppl will complain to U Mobile then we all suffer.

@lelynx, i get extraordinary speed for 1 & 2.

Dont' bother 3 & 4 because torrenting depends heavily on upload as well as download. since U Mobile's speed is bad on upload, torrenting will be affected.

@star_wts, youtube keeps buffering (eventhough the download bar on the youtube player is moving faster than the playback)

i'm suspecting also due to poor upload speed.

but P1's SpeedTest doesn' have screenshot posting. Not that we can see ur speed using P1's smile.gif

For forum posting, SpeedTest always the one to use because of the screenshot pasting wink.gif

Here's my speedtest as of now (time: 1359 & 1402):

One interesting test I did yesterday that I want to share:

1) Digi 3G Broadband with modem (Huawei E219) <-- my sis' wann

2) U Mobile 3G Broadband with my own modem (Huawei E220) <-- bought from andrewdavid @ Garage Sales

Test Location: KL city. Inside a shopping complex.
QUOTE
Used Digi's modem + Digi software + UM SIM card. Speed: ~2.5Mbps average

Used my E220 modem + its software + UM SIM card. Speed: ~3.5Mbps average

Used my E220 modem + Digi' software + UM SIM card. Speed: ~3.5Mbps average

This is weird: Don't know but Digi's modem caused a bottleneck (reduced speed). hmm.gif

Another is that my E220 modem is fully firmware updated n unlocked by the seller (andrewdavid). The modem is basically unlocked to 7.2Mbps, which is why i can achieve the highst possible speed for U Mobile (maxed out at 3.6Mbps only).

p/s: Why I didn't test Digi's SIM card? Well, it's based on Discover (RM58/mth) plan which has 700kbps "likely average speed". So, there's no point testing the Digi.

Oh BTW, the Digi *ALWAYS* downgrade to EDGE speed because of poor coverage inside a building. Again, no point testing it.

on the barring, it'd be best to call their CS to get proper clarification.

good question, though. These infos were not mentioned/clarified on their website.

nvr heard of barring from ISPs.

they're terminating your account, therefore the billing still continues.

r u sure u got barred? totally can't connect? or connected but no activity?

+1!

i'm using Huawei E220 (aka Maxis). Also got it from andrewdavid wink.gif

better get the unlocked (clean/original) version. read my test between clean version vs Digi's modem: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=27767769
