Heavy download? Better find someone with true unlimited 99myr package and multisim. Not recommended on other plan.
By the way, where is your home and office?
In less 6 hour reset. Woot.

seems that none of the broadband packages offer decent upload speed. was thinking DiGi but it has very poor coverage at my area.

all other plans except UB68 dont have speed throttle after u reach its data volume.

however, u'll be charged PAYU rate (RM0.01/KB), which is way expensive.

see "About Usage" section, point #1 >> http://broadband.u.com.my/faq.html

or read "Terms & Conditions", point #7 and #8 >> http://broadband.u.com.my/tnc.html

UB40 allowed speed is 1.0mbps only. No speed throttle after reaching data allowance.

when outside of 3G coverage, u're automatically in "roaming" mode. roaming only allows voice calls and SMS only.

for UB68? when u reached a 5GB data volume limit. Throttle will reset on every 1st of the month.

scenario:

0 --> 5GB = up to 3.6mbps speed.
5GB ++ = throttled to 384bkps, no extra charges

throttle reset = 1st of the month = time to pay your bill! biggrin.gif

try moving the modem to another usb port.

could be not enough "juice" (remember, not all usb ports provide equal power).

also, if ur laptop have many connected usb devices, remove them temporarily.
