why r u so worried about whether getting capped at 5GB or not?

it IS the official FUP that the speed may be throttled after 5GB for UB68 plan. unless u get capped b4 hitting 5GB, then u can start complaining la.

2 things u observe:

1) Unlimited plan (aka UB68) have FUP of 5GB.
2) they MAY manage ur bandwidth/suspend/terminate/reduce ur speed. <- keyword is MAY.

the term "MAY" is the reason why some users are capped higher than 5GB or exactly on 5GB. It's all stated in the Terms n Conditions.

@zwanvedder, if u can flush the firmware/dashboard with generic firmware/dashboard, i'd really consider buying it.

if u have E1762 without the ugly maxis branding on the body, i'd buy it! hehe

seems that there's actually no retail SKU for Huawei E1762.

E1762 are sold as OEM to telcos. comes with white or black + telco branding.

something similar to Kingston co-branding USB drives.

that's right.

u see, it's all based on few factors (i may be missing something, in case some expert wanna join the "discussion"):

1) location*location*location
2) time / weather (wirless is sensitive to weather!)
3) amount of users connected * [1] * [2]
4) not forget possible network issues * [3]

so, getting a satisfied wireless broadband service is FATE*LUCK.

if u're at a good location * pretty hours * nice weathers * less users * no serious network issues = GREAT, I"M IN BROADBAND HEAVEN NOW.

if any of the factors is affecting the performance & satisfaction, then u get SO-SO AVERAGE. I MAY CHOOSE THAT OVER THIS.

if more factors causing it, then u have no fate using that particular service/telco = OK I GET IT. IT'S BAD/WORSE/LOUSY/watever u want to call it.


it seems game333 have better luck & fate with MAxis Broadband than UMobile's Braodband


oh btw, i HATE MAxis Broadband. Maybe i should start spamming THAT thread cuz of lousy service that I AM getting?
