you can go to any accessory shop but they need to order first for the door rubber.
Regarding soundproof, you can view in garage sales as there are a lot of type for soundproof.
other issue also come from the window rubber/lining that already tear or aging.

My advice is to go to the correct accessory and ask them for advice.

if standard car, i dont think got any noticeable differences.

it requires about 5 liters of engine oil every 5000kms.

it will also need 4 liters of SP-III ATF every 20k kms and a new ATF filter every 40k kms.

i'm not able to give you the exact cost since price of spares and lubricants as well as labor varies from each mechanic.

but what you get in return is v6 engine power/refinement/mechanical noise/exhaust roar not found in modern 3/4/5 cylinder engines

eventho the car considered dinosaur already, we are still here.
where can u get a big, comfy car with cheap parts except for Perdana? hehe..
i would say, change/upgrade to Perdana..

normal servicing usually rm30 workmanship for changing oil filter and replace engine oil.

for engine,
normal oil filter - rm10-15
dino EO 4L - rm60-80 (change every 5K km)
semi EO 4L - rm90-120 (change every 7K km)
for v6 engine usually requires 4-4.6L of EO, if fully drain..

for auto gbox,
ATF filter local - rm55
ATF Pennzoil 4L - rm90
auto gbox without ATF cooler usually needs abit less than 4L, with ATF cooler usually extra (change every 20K km)

btw, these prices are estimates only.

as usual, for old cars, standby some budget to change wear and tear items..

Is your headlamp or Brakelamp sipping in water from the side? This might cause it.
I re-seal everything with silicone and now its fine. Works few years without blowing any bulbs.
Btw, for our dino car. In my suggestion, buy a sand paper and wipe off all the rust around your earthing contact point. Just my 2 cents.

Whoo perdana club. I inherited a V6 auto with really bad jerking problem, did a overhaul and now its fine, but I still find the gearbox really er, bad. I dunno if its the engine or the transfer case but I feel like the low end torque is not there, especially up a hill. I just did a top overhaul somemore. Haha but at least once u get it to 3.5krpm its all fun Is this lack of torque a normal thing for the V6?

Also where's a good workshop around PJ? I want to start getting basic mods depending on budget. I'm thinking stronger brake pads, coilovers or something cause I find the body roll an issue, and maybe better tyres, am currently using continetal mc5s but they're reaching the end of its life.

what kind or brand of bulb u are using?
cheap ones burn quickly.
also check the connectors, maybe it has pecah2 which shorts the current and cuts/burns the bulb filament.
also, just like Lean said, check ur groundings.

sometimes cold sometimes not? check the blower or compressor
now not cold already? check for leaks and top up the aircond gas

u can get it from Proton Edar but it will be expensive la.
or u just have to wait and see if someone selling..
maybe someone is getting a digital aircond set from Eterna/Galant, will sell the ori Perdana console..

low end torque for NA usually not quite there..
Perdana max torque of 179Nm can only be achieved around 4K rpm, under that, slow la kan..
after u did a top overhaul, did u do tuning to the ECU?
if not, then maybe the AF ratio is not optimum which causes the car not getting the optimum power..

i have frens who have workshops in PJ and Shah Alam.
both are mostly doing Perdanas and they are also own Perdanas.
u can search for the performance items urself and ask the mechanic to install them for u.
stock factory car sure got high level of body roll as the suspension is tuned mostly for ride, not handling.
changing to adjustable suspension with harder springrate, changing the anti-roll bar to thicker and harder rate and changing to lower profile tyres will solve the body roll problem..

i saw at mudah 2010 -2011 perdana queit cheap. anyone can give advice about the maintenace and FC ?


currently driving nissan sentra b14, if perdana maintenace too costly i might go for nissan sentra 2007 almost same price

Just saw this reply from you. Ya i went with Perdana v6 2005 auto. This month is the one year anniversary me getting the car.

Have to say, very happy with it but my gb also starting have jerking when braking.

Still a happy man though.
