Been to Gurney Hotel and Northam. Love northam because of the jacuzzi.
Have so many nice memories there. Hehehe. Well, thats the only penang hotel I'd go.
Even the bell boy knows me.

Next time i should try Northam. see if i miss Gurney's facilities. Gurney also have jacuzzi in the bathtub mah. unless Northam's jacuzzi is the type that fits more than 1 person.

however to note.....notham have suites......which have separate living areas as well as bedroom...... dont know about G tho.... is it just a deluxe room?

How about more budgetted hotel like oriental hotel at jln penang, if im not mistaken... is it ok?

that 1 looks more like a motel
and it's at city center

not seaview (gurney) or beach (bt feringhi)

northam is not bad. i stayed in their president suite before. its awesome. since u have the car, so even the foodcourt is further down, i think its not the problem for u. im sure u wont eat at the same place for 3 days. penang is famous for certain foods in certain places.

evergreen is a bit old n cant comment on the facilities as i never stayed in this hotel. gurney is ok as well. if u like night life, eg pub. then gurney hotel is the best choice. G hotel is the newest hotel @ gurney drive. n because its near to gurney plaza, its an added advatage. however, i think the hotels @ gurney drive have their own pros and cons and almost the same. so compare the price before making decision. distance is not a problem for u since u have a car.

i also suggest Sunway hotel because of its strategic location. located in the city, easy access to food in the morning n nite. especially nite foods. cant forget it. u must try the fried "lo bak gou" just outside the sunway hotel. its superb.

suddenly miss penang food so much. will eat as much as possible end of this month as a have a week break!!!!

220 with brkfst...,that's cheap. I check online price is abt 288 with brkfast.

Yup , i heard some bank's credit card do offers great discount...but i only got citibank,maybank & direct access...so I think cannot enjoy much

Oh , www.cuti.com.my is cheaper. Even for G-hotel also cheaper compare to others. But too bad, I booked already.
Next time must check there 1st. Btw, is cuti.com.my safe and realiable? Because if not mistaken , the booking is not online basis

hello..I'm thinking of coming over to penang soon with bunch of friends 4-5 ppl. Perhaps around 3 days. Any suggestions for the activities or interesting things to do? My budget is around rm400..

I will be travel to penang on 5 - 7 Dec 08.
I am looking for the driver for a day on 6-Dec (Sat) to fetch me and my wife go travel around at penang.

I prefer chinese driver for 1st piority for easy communicating... The car brand not important, but must with air-conditioning running well...

u can go to batu ferringi/ tanjung bungah for the sandy beach
stay in baywiew or upper penang road might be nice.. haha..
u all can try out Mois (pub) as its quite happening thr ~~
