Attached is a picture of plaster ceiling design for a condominum.
I want to do a renovation exactly like that for my new condo 1250 sqft for the whole area plus kitchen + living room + master bedroom and ect..
Normally is how much? Plus the lamps also.
Just for my cost estimation. Thanks guys.

Guys, I am planning to do plaster ceiling and need some inputs.

Whole house (corner Terrace) comes with Plaster ceiling except the living and dining area (450 Sq Ft).

I want to do the following:
1. Install plaster ceiling for Living Room + Dining Area (total is 450 Sq Ft)
2. Install Downlights for Whole House
3. Wiring + Opening for plaster ceiling on whole house.

One guy quoted me
1. Plaster ceiling for Living & Dining (Flat ceiling design with 3 light through running along the 3 sides of the wall), includes cost for opening hole for down lights in the whole house and 2 Fan Hooks - RM 3,000

2. Painting the plaster ceiling with ICI Maxilite - RM 350

3. Electric Works - Rates for each item are as follows.
• Add additional Electrical light point, RM60.00 each.
• Looping for light point, RM35.00 each.
• Light installation, RM10.00 each.
• Add additional Electrical socket (looping), RM60.00 each.
• Fan installation, RM35.00 each.

Prices excludes the downlight itself which he asked me to source on my own.

Is this price ok?

Normally what are the dimensions of the L-box?

I.e. How wide is the box and how thick is it? And normally what is the distance of the gap between the L-box and your ceiling?

Can, if you plan to have ceiling fan, you may need to use baby fan, else it maybe too danger.

hi,

What is the estimation for the plaster ceiling in the attachment below?

I was quoted Rm2k for the dining room only (terrace house excluding the workmanship)

I just need the wood design because my current contractor is already doing the plaster ceiling for the whole house.

i think still can but got limitation la.. my unit is 9.3ft..

if final height is your concern then u might want to consider these:

- use horizontal DL. (height ard 4")
- avoid L-box / light through design.
- cannot conceal beam
- use baby fan

i'm just afraid it makes the living room look small because the ceiling is lower with the plaster ceiling.

This is my plaster ceiling work for living & dining, the gap between lightbox and wall is 24inch and the middle part (lightbox to lightbox) is 72inch.. my downlight is 6inch square type n planning to put it in between the lightbox and the wall plaster board.

i was wondering, is 24inch gap is too wide and making my middle plaster board ceiling looks small? im thinking now of changing the gap of lightbox and wall to only 18inch. any comment??

as u can see the lightbox installed alreadyon the right side.. need to take out and cut the zinc bar if wanna change it back to 18inch..

or just leave it as it is.. rclxub.gif
