Hi,
I've a quote for plaster ceiling, as follows :
-plaster ceiling @ 2.90 psf -light trough @ 17 psf -L-drop @ 10 psf
Overall paint $ 800.
For living, dining and 3 bedrooms, total 4.6k.
Lightings - PLC magnetic ballast 33 pcs @ 110 each, with some track lights (2m), lighting point / loop @ 32 each and other florescent light for light trough 26 pcs @ 65 so came up to $ 8k.
So all in for plaster ceiling and lights almost 13k for a 1700 sf area. Pendant lights etc...not included for dining.
It the price alright ?

QUOTE(mainbola @ Nov 9 2009, 06:59 PM) Hi all, I just finished renovation on my house in Ampang and I thought I share with you this contractor. He specialises in Plaster ceiling and his workmanship (craftmanship is top notch) He charged me rm2.70 psf. It's slightly on the high side but I've no complains. He runs it with his brother who doubles up as a wiremen for the lighting. So you don't have to worry about another person taking over after the ceiling is halfway done. Why I'm recommending him is becos of his professionalism and thoughtfulness during the reno process. Unlike the usual brash and sarcastic contractors, he's soft spoken, polite and willing to listen. To me having a contractor like that is more than worth it. In the end I ended asking him to do up the rest of the reno including back yard wet kitchen. Ah Wah 019 218 1628 Hi, Just to know does RM2.70 psf include the wiring for each downlight? If no, may I know roughly how much the brother is charging per hole (include cutting the hole, wiring and fixing)? Will get my own lights which include the cover and the bulb on my own. Thanks for sharing.
