sry..gona tumpang this thread abit..

I am planning to do plaster ceiling and timber flooring for my living room..which one should I start first?ceiling or flooring? Also, after the plaster ceiling is done, say in the future i have some A/V equipments and I want the wiring to go through the plaster ceiling, is it possible? If yes, how?
*
Hi!
So i would definitely start with the ceiling first. No matter what you do either the wall or the ceiling the floor should always be last. When i did my ceiling i had alredy carpet flooring and i distroyed my whole carpte. Not just the paint - eventhough i covered the carpet very properly - but as well the dust, I never to it out of my carpet again.
Now i have an amazing Pegro flooring and Im so happy with it smile.gif

Hi all,

I just finished renovation on my house in Ampang and I thought I share with you this contractor. He specialises in Plaster ceiling and his workmanship (craftmanship is top notch) He charged me rm2.70 psf. It's slightly on the high side but I've no complains.  He runs it with his brother who doubles up as a wiremen for the lighting. So you don't have to worry about another person taking over after the ceiling is halfway done. Why I'm recommending him is becos of his professionalism and thoughtfulness during the reno process. Unlike the usual brash and sarcastic contractors, he's soft spoken, polite and willing to listen. To me having a contractor like that is more than worth it. In the end I ended asking him to do up the rest of the reno including back yard wet kitchen.

37 down light x RM55 =$2035 + $3500 = $5535
$8000 - $5535 = $2465 ( for wiring and painting, i think is reasonable )

Just wondering whether the plaster ceiling job includes painting of the plaster after it is done?
My plaster ceiling contractor told me that the painting part is not included.

Any Advice?
