hybrid is the best, u can mix with people from both sides.

I see that most people have a pretty general "guideline" on how Chinese or English ed behaves(guys girls alike)
EE: liberal, knowledgeable + any other traits mentioned
CE: emo, Cpop/drama obsessed + any other traits mentioned

Generally I only listen to Cpop or Jpop, does that make me an CE?
Yet I despise most Chinese dramas(Taiwan,Singaporean,HK drama is downright boring), and definitely prefer most western shows eventhough I only watched some of them(More interesting but TV sucks, BT slow + electricity tariff increase, cannot keep PC up for too long), so I'm EE now?


I have met girls that have the so called EE personality, but they're obsessed with Taiwan dramas and Cpop, and definitely know shit about politics or anything going on out there.

Like mentioned by several forumers,
I also met CEG that is "wilder" than EEG by >9000, be it dressing style, speech, words used etc. (Swears in all kinds of language)

I went into a SRJKC completely zero knowledge of Mandarin/Cantonese. It was a fantastic experience, everyone around me ONLY speaks Mandarin or Cantonese and I'm only capable of speaking English, thus I can only communicate with the teacher Turned out that I learned both languages and is able to get thrown into the so called "elite" class since primary 2(Chinese primary school generally separate their students according to grades and the gap is just huge, which is rather sad. I don't know about other schools though..). Then after 6 years of speaking Mandarin 90% of the time, I went into a private school where English is the medium of teaching. It was really sucky, the books are in BM and we're supposed to learn it in English, better still, my English listening skills have deteriorated so much that I can hardly catch what they are trying to say when it's spoken fast, but managed to improve after several weeks. I too have friends that are from complete Chinese educated background that rarely speaks English. Some turned out to be good in their studies, but some still sucks despite being able to communicate in English well enough already.

In the end it all depends on the person whether to put the effort into coping with the situation around them.



Oh and, like some of u mentioned, discrimination from both sides do exist,
EE : "ur england phailed! HAHA NOOBS! Mah england is better than u, thus i'm of a higher class in the society compared to u!"
CE : "u banana! shame on u"

Usually conversing on the internet using IM, even CE people would use england to communicate, and when u get into a discussion/debate/argument or whatever with them and start using proper english, they would go "Cheh lc ur english very good la now"

Like most people said, CE are generally more "shy" and indirect in their speech, while EE are more outspoken and direct.
EE: hey ur *insert anything here* is *insert anything negative here*
CE: qtf u think u very nice ar?

I guess that's 1 of the reason why CE might generalize EE as arrogant.

chinese ed girls like my gf watch too much taiwanese series and will always make comparison with the stupid actors when you don't please her.....for god's sake they are just acting....english ed girls spend more money and are more confident than most chinese ed girls...they are more fashionable....when go to beach they will wear bikini....for most chinese ed girls they are very laid back and shy.....and for both of these classes.....most know nuts about what's going on around them in the world....
