I prefer english ed guys. IsIt is easyeasier to chat with them cos I am english educated too. IsIt is hard for me to chat (sms/text msg) with a guy that repliedreplies me in chinese. I feel so lost and when I repliedreply them in english they're totally blur with it. So, ENGLISH is the best. * International language *

Being better in english dont make one an english ed. language is seldom the factor. its the attitude and general pandangan that separates english and chinese ed students. Exposure plays a part too in the form of media choices.

Well, that's exactly the reason why I will like an English ed. They seemed to be extremely well in convincing guys of how much they are not to be treated as sex toys. EVER.

But then again, that's like bias against the Chinese eds, generalizing that they are easier targets. Less refinement, you may even exaggerate.

people who speak English at home are English-speaking, not English educated.
because the formal education they received at school is in Malay language.

Technically speaking, most Malaysians who claim themselves to be the so-called "English speaking" or "English Ed" or whatsoever,
actually speak Manglish instead of English.

Its kinda funny to see those self-defined "English Eds" refuse to admit Malay as their language of education...

Anyway... I may seem to be just playing with the words...
But, I'm just adhering the international definition of the word "English educated",
and I think we Malaysians should be confident with our own education.
If you attended SK, you're malay educated.
If you attended SJK©, you're chinese educated.
That simple.

applying the same logic, we can say that

the same logic applies in the word "english ed",
when you say someone is english ed, he is most likely to be educated in english school, be it international school, or schools at the UK, US.
but in this thread, they define english ed people as those who are not educated in chinese vernacular school.

but, i think most people refer themselves as "english ed" because they are embarrassed of their malay language education...
