Language and education shouldn't be a barrier in LOVE. Nuff Said.

That is what I think.
*
but it is a barrier... since communication is ESSENTIAL in a relationship... if you don't speak the same language or can't understand each other due to the differences in educational background, you'll have problems. The barrier can be overcome, but one has to acknowledge the barrier exists first smile.gif

i really like the english educated 1
i like the way they dress up
the way they talk
they are more feminine
easy to take care of them
this group are very hard to get
but when got that time..sure very easy to maintain
and always feel secure

not like those chinese educated...where mostly are willd
very easy to fall in love with other handsome guys

doh.gif
*
I disagree dude, from my experience, in terms of loyalty, women from both sides are equal in the manner. It depends on how sociable they are, and how strong they stick to their principles, and those 2 qualities, you cannot judge from being chinese/eng ed.

2. KLCC, MidValley and The Curve have more things than Sungei Wang. The only pro Sungei Wang has is that it's cheaper than the latter and it's near Low Yat.

and kLCC, Midvalley and the Curve is more sophisticated smile.gif I've said this before, Sungei Wang and trend it caters to, lacks sophistication. Its the place for people with horrible sense in fashion.

3. How about english ed girls don't speak a lot of Chinese as most of them are bananas ... therefore they have no business watching Chinese movies. Where are you getting this "I'm too good for a Chinese movie" idea from?
*
There are subtitles, and the shows are generally just as entertaining as other shows.

QUOTE(lux @ Dec 17 2008, 09:47 AM)
I guess it's because they could be bothered to watch Japanese or Korean, or other Asian language films, but not those their own mother tongue. Maybe even learning other languages before learning their own mother tongue. And that is purely in their own interest, and not applied to their professional lives.
*

The culture doesn't appeal to them probably? or maybe they don't feel like learning their own mother tongue because their own people are judging them?

I prefer english ed guys. IsIt is easyeasier to chat with them cos I am english educated too. IsIt is hard for me to chat (sms/text msg) with a guy that repliedreplies me in chinese. I feel so lost and when I repliedreply them in english they're totally blur with it. So, ENGLISH is the best. * International language *

QUOTE(teongpeng @ Apr 11 2009, 10:55 PM)
Being better in english dont make one an english ed. language is seldom the factor. its the attitude and general pandangan that separates english and chinese ed students. Exposure plays a part too in the form of media choices.
*

I'm sorry to break it to you, but proficiency in the language plays a MAJOR ROLE.

Languages affect the way you express yourself, you're limited to the structure of the language and its vocabulary. The language itself evolved from its culture, so its filled with the mindset and mentality of its people. If a concept does not exist in that culture, you won't find a word for it or a way to express that concept. For example, the Indians came up with the concept of ZERO, before that no language had such a word or concept, the idea of nothingness being expressed as a value was totally alien to them.

So its very obvious to see whether a person is Chinese educated or English educated. The way they express themselves and the words they use will reflect how they think inside their head. That will give you an idea on which side they lean on.

Point taken. I guess what language you use will determine the media/exposure that influence your behaviour. But this is kopitiam, why talk so deep?

because there's a line between jokes and idiocy, you just fell into the latter earlier

Mmm...actually.

I couldn't agree more. laugh.gif
*
actually its something like this...

English ed have layered defenses. After you scale the walls and destroy the gates, you have to fight through the streets to get the castle and claim your prize. So its easier to get pass the first few layers, but you might worn down by attrition tongue.gif

Chinese ed will focus all their defense on the wall, break that down and path to your prize is clear. So while the initial assault is costly, once you succeed its all for the taking.

Are you somehow implying that Chinese-ed girls are more "sexually-exotic" due to their confinement compared to English-eds?

I see you like innocent girls, muahaha. laugh.gif
*
No no no, just that english ed girls don't give themselves to you completely, you have to win them bit by bit. Chinese ed girls normally give you everything once you break down the walls laugh.gif The initial effort is much harder though.

Ah~ It's the other way around.

Well, that's exactly the reason why I will like an English ed. They seemed to be extremely well in convincing guys of how much they are not to be treated as sex toys. EVER.

But then again, that's like bias against the Chinese eds, generalizing that they are easier targets. Less refinement, you may even exaggerate.
*
Yea its a generalisation. I wouldn't say easier bro, their defenses mounted on the wall can incredibly hard to break since everything's focused there, and you don't get anything until you do.. laugh.gif

QUOTE(eukeiwai @ Apr 17 2009, 12:59 PM)
people who speak English at home are English-speaking, not English educated.
because the formal education they received at school is in Malay language.

Technically speaking, most Malaysians who claim themselves to be the so-called "English speaking" or "English Ed" or whatsoever,
actually speak Manglish instead of English.

Its kinda funny to see those self-defined "English Eds" refuse to admit Malay as their language of education...

Anyway... I may seem to be just playing with the words...
But, I'm just adhering the international definition of the word "English educated",
and I think we Malaysians should be confident with our own education.
If you attended SK, you're malay educated.
If you attended SJK©, you're chinese educated.
That simple.

Imagine what would you think if you see a guy driving Proton but claiming himself to be driving a Mitsubishi.
That's exactly how ridiculous as the word English educated coming out from a Malay educated's mouth.
*
You just don't get it laugh.gif

QUOTE(eukeiwai @ Apr 17 2009, 03:16 PM)
yeah, but that is how most people perceive the word;

applying the same logic, we can say that
beauty doesn't necessarily derived from looks alone,

but when you say a girl is beautiful, it is most likely to referred to her looks, right?

the same logic applies in the word "english ed",
when you say someone is english ed, he is most likely to be educated in english school, be it international school, or schools at the UK, US.
but in this thread, they define english ed people as those who are not educated in chinese vernacular school.
that's weird, isn' it?

I don't know, maybe i'm crazy...
but, i think most people refer themselves as "english ed" because they are embarrassed of their malay language education...
*
You're redefining the words based on your own interpretation. The term "english ed" isn't confined to just schooling. People who use the term understand this, people like you... don't.
