softmode to quadro is useless if just hoping to gain performance in gaming. of cause for some 3d applications will boost due to unlocking some instructions from quadro

Mine? 1.8v! Max.. Was having some issues on my previous OC then up the vagap to the max in order to stable the whole system. If im not mistaken, GC voltage is fixed unless u do a vmod on ur card then is different story.

Lol.. Read alot of reviews before, most of the user says the vAGP is actually the voltage for NB. Anyways, if u not going to do heavy OC, is better let the vAGP stay at its default setting. Well.. Old school kinda fragile so better keep it on the safest mode lo. I'm stop OC my rigs dy.. Just did some mild OC for daily usage.

update. me all stock now, using tighten RAM timings only. preserve my P4 lifespan, muahaha...

i currently running at stock speed with lower ram speed... dont want to push too much as well as i have closed the side panel... maintain it wont overheat.

my 478 really suck to hell... 7300gt underclock... cpu cant even run at 400mhz.... bit upset with it... have think of split off the 2gb off, let my socket A running 1gb ram.

btw guys,lately im having some sort of problem with one of my folders.it happens to be the folder where i store all my photos taken and everytime i access it,it takes a very long time before it actually opens it just hangs there for like a couple of mins and then become normal again.and it only happens to that single folder.any idea whats wrong? =/

its about 7GB in size btw.do you guys think defragging will help? thanks alot.

U mean when u accessing that folder which contain 7GB big of files? When u open or access the folder then the whole system will hang like not response for sometime then it back to normal?

I was having kind of problem with my old 20GB old HDD before. Well.. I not sure whats wrong, but problem solved when i change to my new HDD. Maybe something like the HDD cache is not enough for searching the files?

Between,i've a spoil hdd which i would like to extract out the old files form it.The Hdd cann be detected in windows by i couldn't copy any files.Do you guys know why? I think this hdd still have'nt gone completely. :stars:Added with screenshot.

All the files cannot be copy/read or just certain? I can see from ur SS it was certain file cant be read only right? Try copy the folder each by each and see which files is corrupted? Might can help u retrieve some of the files back. Atleast not all gone.

@fylon,i've tried several files already.None of them can be copied. I tried to play movie but it played for 0.09s only then hanged.The hdd is a bit short,sometimes cannot be detected.

why u dont try to install the hdd into another com?
i have a case like dis also last time whereby cant copy the files in a hdd
then use another fren com to access into the hdd
it works
but not all the time lar

Erm something like that.but not my whole com hang,but the folder itself hang only.so when i open task manager,it shows Not Responding.but after i leave it for a few minutes everything turns back to normal. its really bugging me cause i access that folder very frequently.all my shots are in there.

btw,its on my 160GB SATA HDD.every other folder in that hard drive does not have that problem,only that specific folder.

Yea.. Just to share some exp as i faced this kind of problem before. Are u HDD is IDE type? Hm.. Did a defrag before? Maybe the files inside got fragmented heavily. Can give a try thou. I got the same case as u do last time. Just it hang and stuck there for several mins after that it will get back to normal. Very torublesome when u wanna access the file in urgent.

Weird case.. Both u and pengster were having HDD problem. Are the file inside the HDD important? Haha.. Movies, songs and picture? Any ray, give siong suggestion a try. See how was it,and remeber to prepare and extra storage as i the HDD can be access then fast fast copy it out.
