fylon, the quality is of mp3 and ape/flac is quite noticeable. maybe your speaker cant fully deliver the quality(since you said you using old speaker). your A2ZS should be no problem. my friend, get a better speaker you sure satisfied, long time investment(alot better than GC).

OT: remember the cmos reset prob?? i still dont know how to clean the pin, have to use something to scratching it?? i took off the jumper and put it back weeks ago, it works fine for 1 week then come back again... haiz. i already change the jumper but still the same. pek cek.

have u heard sounds coming from klipsch gmx A2.1?
do you think that speaker have problem issues regarding humming noises?
i read reviews from internet and it seems like quite bad regarding the humming
but when i hear from the speaker itself (during pc fair) i think it has quite a strong bass
fell in love with it during my first time hearing from it
but still worries bout the reviews + humming noises

Just now i use ATI Tools to scan artifacts on my card with mild OC (Core from 560 up to 620 / Mem from 700 up to 800) and i let the software run by itself and i went, 2 hrs after i came home, my system got restarted and my whole desktop turn blue. Any idea?

GMX 2.1, better not la, this series not reliable. A got a friend also owning this set, sold it off and get logitech 2.1 system instead. Humming issues. U know how he minimize the humming? installed a surpressor in between the amp and speakers, reduces humming but affected the sound quality badly. I audited the sound before, and u r rite, they r punchy. I recommend you look for Altec Lansing alternatives to be safe!

Added on March 18, 2008, 11:20 pmDesktop turn blue or BSOD? If restarted, It might be your CPU/FSB oc related. Once the GPU is stressed, it also stresses the CPU and RAM during the processing. Back out a bit on the FSB maybe? Usually if g-card unstable, it would only hang the system, or showing screen artifacts.

Still mange to get into desktop and the whole screen become blue. Something like when CRT monitor wanna dead and the RGB color get mad whole screen become blue. I dont manage to take the pic cos when i touch the mouse and the color turn back to normal but will got shadow at the back for the icon that i pointed at. Thing go back normal after restart.

Hm.. CPU and ram been stress before am im pretty sure they can handle the current speed. Oh yea.. One thing regarding to ATI tools (not TRAY tools), i use the find max core & mem speed function right, even got artifact comes out on the 3D view but it still state that no artifact found. Especially finding max mem speed, even my whole screen got white dots and distortion already but it seys no artifact found. Is that normal? I was using the .26 version not the beta version.

ATI tool not 100% reliable. I tried and can confirm that. On your screen shadow and color distortion is a normal symptom for overclocked vga RAM. Meaning, even when u restarted and RAM speed back to normal, the memory still retains the data from your previous windows session. Best way to eliminate that issue is power off your PC entirely and reboot again.

Yea.. The screen shadow and color distort i can sure is the result of OC'ed too much on the VRAM. It happened when the ram goes up to 880mhz. But just i dont get the sense of my desktop will go blue, something like the RBG on CRT monitor is going to dead. By problem clear after a restart. Now GC run at stock speed.

but actually i dont have a grudge on altec (their bass is not strong enough, bass and treble not in harmony)
just feels like the sound they produce cant match with the klipsch (the crisp of the sound, strong yet melodious >> y klipsch din try to solve this prob, haiz)

hi bro, for that budget around RM500, get the logitech speakers Z2300 (THX), sure no regrets! Wayyyy better than the klipsch, I love it!!!

Whats is the default core & memory speed of ur card? More of less i think it should be above normal right? Normal is 560/700.

yup normal only 560/700 (with stock hsf, thats y dont plan to oc too much until i get a zalman hsf )
i still not sure how to oc using riva tuner
when i tried to oc and test the oc setting at riva tuner, there is no window pop up that show the progress of the testing (a blue bar window will show up rite? blonely show it to me)

i tried 650/750 b4, nothing show up, so i thought it should b fine with this setting (but i didnt apply the setting to my gc lar) vagp was 1.6V only
then i try 650/800, pop up window says that current driver doesnt support this setting

Lol.. I tried to push me as well just now. But then, having some issues with ATI tools. Gotta turn to riva turner. Actually im not so familiar with riva tuner that why i go for ATI tools, who knows.

By then, can stable at 650/800 is good already. That the speed that i push just now. Yet run 3dmark to check for artifact yet. Duh.. GC OC is more troublesome.

Haha.. If u on geforce 6 series like 6800XT u might have a chance to unlock to the hidden pipeline. But well.. No guarantee the pipeline that u had unlocked can function properly thou. Or the way is, soft mode the 6800GT/Ultra into Qudro card, aka those card that for 3D software application like 3D Max, Maya or CAD.

By then on 7 series, the chance is 0%. nVidia dont give the chance for unlocking lo.. PBC layout is totally different. Then no chance lo.
