Lol.. Hm.. That what i felt lo.. E6600 some more.. 2GB of ram.. Gosh! But the GC really shiok.. HD3870 eh! But overall.. Ofcause gaming sure the C2D lead. But in term of responsive and application i still feel like my rigs does better. Maybe lacking of tweaking for that system. But his system seems very empty. Just a Kaspersky, office 03 and few standard software thats all.

try update antivirus and have a virus scan your pc in safe mode... if you have antispyware program, update and scan it as well...

when using ATI tools, or riva tuner...after we OC it, if we din run the software at startup it will reset bec to default?

haha....i knw wats your virus...its very easy to clean.can clean manually.this is somekind of malware which is make your comp performance decrease follow this step

yes,the o/c speed will back to default if you don't run the software with the profile you set during start up. Frankly speaking,ATI cards are not really good in overclocking.

1GB is DEFINITELY not enough for me to PP using CS2. Alot of times working halfway suddenly,oh,not enough ram to process the request and DDR1 rams are freaking expensive laa.if i want to go 2GB,i'll have to get 2x1GB sticks.and that costs a bomb

Of course is the capability to o/c. Heat is the common enemy for o/c even for all hardwares.

yesterday i played COD4.That was damn bad, my GC is totally unplayable at 4fps in the 2nd mission in jungle enviromenent. The minimum requirement for the gc of this game should be at least Geforce 6 series or X800. My GC is totally out of minimum specs.

wow, can explain how u hit the wall with prosumer? the zoom lens should last u a while there, unlike mine only 18-55mm without VR. Not that it is bad, but i wish it had a bit of OmmPh like VR, or longer reach of 18-135, at least. Well, enough said, on my way of saving up for getting the AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED, looks like i will be holding off my speedlight 1st this time.

The best way to get your desired OC and preserve your card's life is by using ATI Tray Tools. This tool is great as you can create oc profiles, meaning once it detects you are running 3D applications, it will auto OC with your desired profiles and revert back to default speed once you exit from it. I am using it for my lappy, very handy oc and tweaking tool. ATI cards are comparable to nvidia, that's for sure.

Added on March 13, 2008, 8:50 amdefinately the shader power issue plus the your 9550's RAM and core speed is not up to the game's requirement. i understand the frustration, bro. my lappy that is 9700 mobility 128MB (equivalent to your 9550/9600 desktop) also facing same issue even after OC.

@edmin,yup the shader that the game need is 3.0. 2.0 sharder cards will be suffering in the game.Advice to those who is using shader 2.0 cards,no need to waste time to play the game.

9550 this card....i faced 1 situation before...while logging in to window Xp rite?there is a Welcome word....which is has jack line on it

now even with sm3 card also quite hard.... i only have 8pipeline. my 9550 only have 4..

btw.. cant expect much from outdated stuffs. as long can run basic things then no complain already.

@herojack41,your 9550 is using passive cooling. Maybe you can add a fan on it to cool down the chip.

Yea.. I was using Krait. Actually wanna grab DA but out of budget.. But i most of the time was play RPG/Strategy game, so 3 button is enough for me la. Dont need to activate On the Fly function. Haha.. Oh yea.. The map are huge!! I got limited space to fix it in.

Went to game store just now, and i saw assassin creed on sell.. But didnt buy scare my rigs cant support it.
