vanny, i'm also very confined person.. due to heart breaking histories.. but i'm trying to chance tho... and i'm more of an atheist kind of people also.. i might / might not go to the gathering, as i'd be getting my first glider this sunday as well .. plan to name her Kerry or Cookie

That's why I mention if the curtain in your house is higher than the ceiling fan, then it would be dangerous...

The thing is they don't really go up upwards, it's just a slight push then all the way down.

I've never seen any really gliding upwards.

I've observed their jumps and glide too. And if it's too low to hit the target, they'd climb higher cuz they go downwards...

Mine has glide as far as 5-6 feet from the curtain to me and he was positioned at the most top of the curtain. And it didn't go anywhere near the ceiling fan...

Anyway, if anyone feels that the ceiling fan is a threat, then be careful.

hehe, didn't notice that u mentioned that already.

Actually the ceiling fan can bu used to train them to glide to u.
Wait till they r active, make sure the fan is clean, put them there.
They will glide to u, cos there's nowhere else to go.
At first they'll just jump, eventually, after they gain their confidence they will glide.

and guess what, i'm already getting use to hanging the bonding pouch around my neck.. also, i'm scenting the cage everyday (altho no glider yet) .. and been sleeping on the bonding & sleeping pouch every night.. reason is to scent it hope the glider wont mind my stink

1 question regarding scent... does that mean that i cannot put on cologne or deodorant once i own a glider?????

If training using ceiling fan, we have to place them up there, very high ohh, have to use ladder lor...

If curtain, normally they will climb up on their own

Unless you wanna hang a rope at your ceiling fan and let them climb up and down it themselves

You can use a cologne or deodorant because any cologne or deodorant a person wears will eventually melt with your own body scent and become distinctively yours.

However, try not to change too many types of cologne or deo very often, that can confuse them

Lucky I'm the type who sticks to one type of perfume and deo, so used the same type all along...

I've read somewhere that say that some perfume contains chemical that is bad for glider....forgot where i read it..GC maybe

emino, i dont know where u live. but here's the direction from midvalley (since we all know u know midv right?? haha.. )

Ok from midvalley using federal highway towards shah alam, go straight until u meet jambatan pulau pinang, go up jambatan pulau pinang and take right at that flyover.. straight again.. straight until u see lrt kelana jaya on your right then stay left, don't go up the flyover... then u'll meet a traffic light, turn left. straight till u meet secret recipe on your right, turn right to secret recipe, straight and dr yeoh's will be at the other side of the row. eh, betul ke nih??
