I'm using HLebroking for foreign share trading for first time. I just received my contract note and saw there was Miscellaneous charges. May I know what is that charge for? There was brokerage charge and stamp already.

I recently activated my HLebroking account. Just curious what is the differences between cash account and direct account? I am having a direct CDS account with HL Investment Bank.

I have cash outfront account - only allow to trade when there is a cash. The commission is 0.1%, very competitive. For non-cash account, the commission depends on the contract value. If it is above 100K, I believe is 0.18%. Otherwise, it is 0.22% for online trading.

I checked the transaction cost and it says:

0.7% Brokerage Fees
0.04% Clearance Fees

Total costs is 0.74% (excluding stamp duty)? Is this high?

I got it from the transaction calculator:

Or they charge 0.4% but did not update the transaction calculator?

User error, not software bug. You can change the settings and apply 0.1% broking fees.
0.1% for cash buying

Icehart,

Do you know if the brokerage fee details are stated somewhere in the HLebroking portal? I mean black and white?

Sorry, I have no idea on that. I get these rates by calling my remisier.
