Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a final year student currently pursuing my degree in Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Finance from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). Me and my thesis mates need your help in filling up our survey. This contributes to our final year research project on Investor Rationality in which we are studying about an investor's behaviour and decision making. If you have purchased or dealt with investments in Malaysia such as shares, mutual funds, bonds, fixed deposits and derivatives then you fit our criteria of target respondents. This is an anonymous survey where sensitive information (e.g: total annual income) cannot be tracked to you, your email address or contact number.

Select your prefered choice of language. Clicking on the link below will open up the survey form.
(In English) Survey:Investor Rationality

(In Malay) Soal Selidik:Pelabur Rasional

(In Chinese) 投资者理性

The links above do not contain any virus. It leads you to Google docs. Our target is to obtain 500 respondents by the end of July. Please help us achieve this by forwarding this survey to any friends or family members of yours who is also an investor. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to email me at investor.finance10@gmail.com.

Thank You,

It's actually not Java, but ActiveX you need to install, which you do by clicking on the bar which pops up near the top of the browser the first time you try accessing the site. You also have to disable the pop-up blocker.

Also delete cookies while you are at it.

Sorry, that bit does require Java. One thing I would try is de-installing Java (Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs) and then re-installing.

Or try Firefox smile.gif

just got my hlebroking trading account. already downloaded ectrade software in my Windows 7 laptop with IE8.
I'm using Windows 7 laptop with IE8 as well. Problem is my screen is blank (white) in ectrade. Doesn't work in http mode either. No yellow bar popping up near the top of browser prompting me to install anything. Pop-up blocker is disabled. What could be the problem?

Where to download this program if possible? Thanks sad.gif

Something new,

1. Hong Leong seems to be using T+2, i.e. payment must be made before 12am on day "3". I'm not sure about this, I banked in the cash last night before 12am, but till now past 12pm I see the money is not yet settled under the 'Settlement' tab.

2. If I have say RM15,000 in my share a/c and a total of RM14,000 is currently tied up in shares with RM1,000 balance, can I still enter contra trades that exceed the RM1,000?

Nothing that day except a settlement was due and I decided to hold on to a stock past the contra nstead of getting out.

Does that mean when I pay for a stock HL charge misc fees to transfer the cash into the seller's a/c?

1. Settlement is done on T+3 after thier banking cycle at night, whatever cross T+3 aka T+4 after 12noon force sell will trigger.

2. You have trading limit of 2X of cash, so should be of no problem to do contra trades but subject to trading limit. Think can ask to raise trading limit, please call them up to find out more.

No charges for transferring cash to account. Shares transfer to other broker, yes, RM10 per stock.
Again call them up to clarify your transactions. nod.gif

Thank you, I called the remisier and clarified everything.

Bte, I'm trying out the osk software as well, and this seems confusing... why is the buy volume and sell volume listed in the opposite in osk?
