I was downloading since 2AM. I got capped on the morning after reaching 750MB of downloads but after about 6PM, I got back my full speed. 1Mbps (115KB/s). Weird..

You should get a test run 1st before subscribing to Izzi, coz ur area might ady be congested so it'll be freaking slow.

Even such distance makes a difference. An iBurst station can cover EFFECTIVELY up to 2km. So, a few hundred metres makes loads of difference. Eh, Mentari Court is quite far la. If the station is above your place, it's like 20m vs 1km+. Thats a huge difference.

I sometimes notice as well those CAP sometimes didn't function properly. Like, for thursday, whole day I can reach 60 KBps without cap limit. Yet, yesterday I just use 300MB to play online game and I get capped immediately. O_o

Saturday is always the worst. Crap speed. Usually Sunday I get better speed.

And someone mentioned before that if you didn't disconnect your Izzi for days, you might get faster and faster speed. That's true for me. I didn't off my Izzi for 3 days where on thrusday I didn't get capped. Then suddenly on Friday morning, I get a DC, and since then the speed is f***ing sucks. O_o

Anyone else has same experience ?

Well, that salesperson is telling you the half truth. 13km is really possible...if you were in a dessert and there's nothing between you and the station that is. smile.gif As for your alternative, you'll have to test it first. I can help. biggrin.gif Call me. 10th floor is not too high. Some other networks might work.

Ps. I have all the wireless broadbands available to me but I use iZZi at home. biggrin.gif

Your signal not stay consistence at 70% right?if so try change the modem location until u get a consistence signal strength i highly recommend u to locate ur modem near to open-air area like balcony, window etc or if u dont mind to fork out another RM68 to get an anntena for izzi to improve the signal strength lol sweat.gif

My Experience during the demo last night
Agent got my contact from dunno-which-friend-that-simply-give-out-ppl's-number friend, want to arrange a demo at my place.

So over the phone, I told him I'm sceptical with such demo, as they might "make sure" the demo will show GREAT results, and my bad experience with P1. I also told him my primary usage is mainly on surfing, chat, forums, and online gaming (no P2P).

He ensured me IZZI's network will not experience the altitute coverage (as I stay above 10th floor), as their base station built on top of the condo, the higher you are, the better reception you'll get.

so I said ok~loh, you come and demo... they came at night... installed the driver, plug in, and invited me to try, and here's my instant results:
01) World of Warcraft
latency = 20K ms (in MY, if you can get 200-500ms is consider good, and all these while I played under the 800-900ms environment)

02) Youtube = timeout

03) gmail = timeout

04) Speednet = can't even loaded up properly

05) facebook = 5mins to load completely

during the demo, one of the guy, kept SMSing out, while seeing the results are not showing positive sign, when a page loaded up, he'll text again...

and they smiled and left embarassly.

I'm grateful to their time+effort, absolutely not their fault, but too bad... all I can do is kkthnxbye to them. smile.gif
