QUOTE(sahabat9 @ Feb 26 2009, 12:25 PM) usually it's not that bad, but, starting end of last week.. baaaad.. are you using any antenna with your izzipro? Izzipro would receive signal 360 degree thus due to the receiving of switching signal tower, you might get slow connection.iZZi people? can u please test to browse from my area? u can simply sit at the mamak stall there, and surf.. what will u get? i just wanna know, if it's only me.. hehehe.. or if u wanna test from my terminal, also can.. come.. come... hehehe |

hi anodize, nope, no extra antenna... only the iBurst terminal.. i never thought of having an extra antenna, coz previously, it was ok.. the signal strengh is OK, far better than the iZZiyou modem... that's why i took the iZZipro in the first place, although, becoz i'm not actually mobile.. using iZZi only to avoid wired connection
does the existense of the new base station effects my current condition? shouldn't that new & nearer base station means better? huhuhu.. btw, my exact location is Arena Green Bkt Jalil.. |

QUOTE(alvisto @ Feb 19 2009, 05:08 PM) As far as I know, they haven't done capping. I am getting ard 70-110 kb/s depending on time and type of torrent. Although there are moments where it will drop, but averagely I am satisfied with the speed. I'm into my 1 yr 4 mths subscription already.I'm staying in Prima Midah Heights Condo in Taman Midah. I am pretty sure the moment iZZi starts capping, they will lose their clients. No limit is their strength. They only need to ongoingly increase their bandwith per base station to cater to increase users if they want to expand. |

Vail still having a prob? i'm not at home now, so i donno the current situation.. but, based on last nite and the prev nite, i remained online till morning (i meant, my pc.. hehehe.. )
or have u check the maintenance notice on their website? well, just in case ur area is actually under maintenance, for the time being.. i'm not complaining much on this service provider, as long as i can connect and it's not dc-ing too much.. i'm not a hrdcore downloader or online gamer.. so may be that's why i have less complaints.. hihihi.. the line for me just so so.. not the best, not the worst.. hey, i also same like u la matthew.. hihihi.. reaching 1 yr 4 months too.. Im having this problem since like last 6 month. I dont think my area under maintenance for that long.
You can check others previous posts. They have experienced the same problem like me. So i guess its not just me then :s. If just surfing, yea there is no capping. But once u start downloading lots of stuff, my speed becomes like turtle then after 2am only jumps back to normal speed. I posted some proofs earlier where i did some heavy downloadings, the speed was above 70kB/s. And after i hit 300mb++, it suddenly turn to 20kB/s++..and after 2am, it jumps to normal speed just like that. |

Vail, wanna ask you, after you hit your quota before 2am, your download speed is capped right ? How about your surfing speed ? My surfing speed was terribly capped as shown by cFosSpeed, & bt tracker cannot connect, download speed capped, but strangely, Izzi speedtest & surfing LYN show decent speed. Even without capping or after 2am, streaming youtube was impossible, have to download those flv videos in order to watch it. So sien ar.... P.S : Why many people support Izzi all the sudden ? Decoys ? |

P.S : Why many people support Izzi all the sudden ? Decoys ? The reason why iZZi speedtest still shows good speed because they want you to think so. Im joking. Its because your testing on their local server. After 2am, the speed goes back to normal dummy mode. Average 70kB/s. I dont think their decoys, their just lite users. Probably their area still not full of izzi subscribers yet. Added on March 5, 2009, 9:40 pmOh yea one more thing to add, uninstall cFOS speed if ur using izzi. It slows down your connection even more. Their traffic shapping just doesnt seem to work well with iBurst technology. This post has been edited by Vail: Mar 5 2009, 09:40 PM |

Youtube becomes hell. Ya, you are right, cFosSpeed slows down my bt tremendously. I just use it to see current bandwidth usage & totally disable its traffic shaping. ( BTW, just left 12 days left for trial ). The reason why iZZi speedtest still shows good speed because they want you to think so. Im joking. Its because your testing on their local server.
