Your ram voltage isnt "maxed" yet
Added on February 19, 2008, 9:37 pm QUOTE(jedi_dc @ Feb 19 2008, 08:45 PM) ive tried overclocking, .. managed to get up to 2.36ghz. from 2.11 Nope, cant increase voltage, but usually brisbane core can reach arnd 2.6-2.8ghz before needing vcore increase. Either way you can increase voltage in windows itself by using applications like crystalcpuIDim using Abit NF-M2S. and AMD 64X2 4000+. Brisbane. i dont see any Vcore settings at bios. any ideas on how to further oc my poor rig?.. This post has been edited by joe_star: Feb 19 2008, 09:37 PM |

QUOTE(lee1767 @ Feb 19 2008, 11:17 PM) newbie here, just tried to overclock my amd 64x2 5000+ black edition. there are many reason why....i can easily set the multiplier to 15.5 where i can hit 3.10Ghz, but only manage to run orthos for 2min 17 sec only. why? any sifu or pros can help me.... thank you. -the vcore -the ram OC ability -the ram vdimm -the ram timing -the heat -the mobo so u need to check it one by one.... |

QUOTE(sempronic @ Feb 19 2008, 11:21 PM) there are many reason why.... i've read some reviews to say that just need to increase the multiplier-the vcore -the ram OC ability -the ram vdimm -the ram timing -the heat -the mobo so u need to check it one by one.... for 5000+ black edition. dun need to overclock the ram. i'm using cooler master hyper 212 for the proc, idle: 22c load: 35c, so heat is not a problem. Added on February 19, 2008, 11:35 pm QUOTE(digswell @ Feb 19 2008, 11:24 PM) yes, it supposed to easy.i can hit 3.3Ghz by adjusting the vcore, but when i run orthos.... it will fail for running a few min only.
