Can anyone suggest me a very portable laptop.  It has to be small and light but has really good ram/harddisk space/graphic cards.

I have no budget yet and I don't mind any brands.

Hi guys,

I'm considering between getting either one of the following:

i) ASUS F8 Series F8SV-A1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220192
ii) ASUS F8 Series F8P-X2B - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220304
iii) ASUS F8 Series F8Sn-B1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220273

At the moment, I'm more keen on getting the F8SV-A1 because of the it's using the T7500 2.2GHz with 4 MB cache compared to the T8100 2.1GHZ with 3MB cache the other two are using.

However, the F8-SV-A1 is using a 256MB 8600M GT, while the F8P-X2B is using a 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 while the F8Sn-B1 is running on a 512MB 9500M GS so which is the best among those three?

by the way, I've heard that the 8600M GT used in the F8-SV-A1 uses GDDR2 but I'm not sure how true this is.

Thanks!

I'll be furthering my studies in US soon so I'll be buying it there smile.gif

By the way, is it true that the T8100 is still better than the T7500, even though the T7500 has 1MB more cache because of the architecture of the T8100? Do both have Santa Rosa cores or only the T8100 has it? Thanks!

Hello there. I'm also asking for a recommendation for my friend. She doesn't really have a budget as she doesn't really know anything about laptops and I'm more onto desktops. tongue.gif So I helped her to set her budget to below RM2500 and if possible, cheaper.

I don't mind the brand as long as it's good. She'll be using the laptop for normal net surfing, drama watching, printing and etc. She's not really into games.

I think 160GB of memory and 1GB ram would be sufficient. She wants a laptop that's going to last long and won't kaput suddenly.

Any recommendations? Thanks! notworthy.gif

I am looking for a laptop and i need recommendations.
I don't use laptop for gaming purposes,I seek for something that would suit university use like assignments and projects.Besides I only need to store some media files.

Brand: Anything.But not Acer.
Budget: Rm2500-Rm3300

In fact I am looking at Dell Inspiron 1420 and 1525.What are the differences between this 2? Which is better? Besides Dell, what suitable laptop(specifically for University student use) I can get with the budget?

Specs wise, should I get 160GB or 250GB for my hard drive? How bout memory?is 2GB sufficient?

Hello, i'm a college student seeking for a laptop that best suits me. As for me, i prefered a laptop that i can use it for gaming purposes. But i'm not a hardcore gamer. What i want actually is a pretty laptop that i can use it to play online games smoothly with no lagging. So graphic is not the main point here. But i still want a good graphic card. Could you guys suggest me which one should i pick between this brand as i am really confuse right now. rclxub.gif

1.Brand
• Dell XPS M1530
• Sony Vaio FZ35G

2.Budget
• RM5500 - since my dad promised to give me RM4500 if i do well in my studies, and yes i did! rclxm9.gif and another RM1000 is my own money that i saved from my pocket money since last April. icon_idea.gif

3.Specs
• Big RAM, good graphic card, best performance and nice design.
• Errm question, well yes i'm finding a laptop that fits for a gaming purposes, but i will be spending my time most on the online games such as MapleSea and Ragnarok Online, so sometimes there will be lagging in the game, was that because of the RAM so small or just the connection? Is there a way to avoid it because i really hate it when it's lagging .

4.Size
• Doesn't really matter.

Thank you very much. notworthy.gif
