QUOTE(ChloeP @ Apr 12 2008, 10:04 PM) But i'll be in the Us for 2 years and I think having an international warranty would be good... What would be the second choice besides xps? I'm actually going to the US pretty soon too and I'm buying an XPS there. Much cheaper if you get it there because the exchange rate is RM3.1 to $1 and no problems with the warranty. And you can also configure it with the new Penryn processors too. I'm planning to get mine with a T9300, 3GB of RAM, 320GB harddisk, 128MB 8400GM, 4 years warranty, 6-cell batt and it came up to about $1719, or about RM5300. If I got it from Malaysia it would be at least RM6000. This post has been edited by ttwy: Apr 12 2008, 10:58 PM

hi guys, need some help in choosing a processor for my XPS 1330 which I'll be buying in US.
Is it worth paying an extra US$75 (RM232) to upgrade from a T7250 to a T8300? Or how about to a T9300 which is an extra US$200 (RM620)? Which among those three should I choose? And are there any websites which do a direct comparison between these processors? Thanks!

QUOTE(ChloeP @ Apr 13 2008, 02:34 AM) yeah..i think so too..cause 13.3" is too small for my liking...I would prefer it to be a 14" at least... I like the inspiron because of their colors..I have a certain liking for pink...lolx... but the international warranty thingy kinda irks me.... You may nvr know when u might need the warranty even if the pc is as good as suggested... toshiba has international warranty, i'm not sure about the other brands though

Hi guys, I'm considering between getting either one of the following: i) ASUS F8 Series F8SV-A1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220192ii) ASUS F8 Series F8P-X2B - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220304iii) ASUS F8 Series F8Sn-B1 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16834220273At the moment, I'm more keen on getting the F8SV-A1 because of the it's using the T7500 2.2GHz with 4 MB cache compared to the T8100 2.1GHZ with 3MB cache the other two are using. However, the F8-SV-A1 is using a 256MB 8600M GT, while the F8P-X2B is using a 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 while the F8Sn-B1 is running on a 512MB 9500M GS so which is the best among those three? by the way, I've heard that the 8600M GT used in the F8-SV-A1 uses GDDR2 but I'm not sure how true this is. Thanks! This post has been edited by ttwy: Jun 16 2008, 10:19 PM

I'll be furthering my studies in US soon so I'll be buying it there By the way, is it true that the T8100 is still better than the T7500, even though the T7500 has 1MB more cache because of the architecture of the T8100? Do both have Santa Rosa cores or only the T8100 has it? Thanks! This post has been edited by ttwy: Jun 21 2008, 08:43 PM

hey there, I'm choosing a new laptop which I'll b buying in US and I'm torn between the Dell XPS M1330 and Asus F6V. My main concern is actually whether it's worth to pay slightly more for Dell because the XPS are built really well where as I'm not sure about the Asus F6. The XPS is RM5000 while the Asus F6V is RM4550. And also the Asus comes with a P8600 while the XPS only with a T8300. However, the XPS comes with 3 years accidental damage coverage while the Asus is only a year. Would really appreciate any input. thanks!
