Ya. There is a shop on the same level as Bintang Maju. The prices of their Lowepro's are killing.

I'm thinking of the Black Sling Bagman.
Any suggestions? I want a sling bag.
Any bag similar to Crumpler's?

Where to get those bags in PJ area?

How much is this?

Still undecided whether to get a sling bag (more casual, can carry anywhere) or a slingshot style (better suited for photog outings)

Ya. I too was a bit confused about the reply. Shoulder bags, slingshots all sling types as long as you sling the strap over one shoulder or over your shoulder across your chest aka Lowepro Slingshot models. Backpacks lain cerita lar....

@ebernie

For me its sling bags all the way (Lowepro Slingshot, CrUMpler Million Dollar Homes) as Its easier for me to retrieve my gears.

But Lowepro has produced a backpack style which has the Lowepro Slingshot camera retrieval method which does not require you to take out you bag. Thats the Lowepro Fastpack... icon_rolleyes.gif

That Jenova All Weather looks like it was styled after the Lowepro Slingshot series. But its good in the sense it does not look like a camera bag which will come in handy when travelling to high Crime rate areas which prey on tourist. sweat.gif

Ha ha sorry. Meant messenger-style bags (like the million dollar series from crumpler). These sling over the shoulder too right?

I think of the slingshots as 'improved' backpacks smile.gif

Already own a large backpack which I leave in my room. This holds all my gear including a laptop. But need one to carry around when walking.

Yea, Improved backpacks sounds like a good description of them......

How many lenses you wanna carry? If you going to carry a medium zoom mounted and an extra wide lens, I think models like Toploader-Zoom AW from Lowepro can fit your bill. Or a 3,4,5Million Dollar home if you're not intending to carry all your gears... icon_rolleyes.gif

Want to ask, can a lowepro fastpack 200 fit a lense the size of a 70-200 f2.8 lense (canon)? Thanks.

since u want a backpack...
and u like beltpack...
i suggest take a look at thinktank's rotation 360...
a beltpack INSIDE a backpack...=)
it's not cheap though...but u get 2 in 1...=)

ya i saw that thinktank rotation 360 before... seriously the idea is good but it looks kinda ugly when u rotate the beltpack to front, leave a big hole on ur backpack. I like any bag that can lessen the shoulder burden and able to retrieve camera fast icon_idea.gif

Lowepro Primus AW also have a side opening for you to access camera without taking the bag off your shoulder. But cannot change lens lor...
I think Fastpack is better than SlingShot AW but why FastPack dont have AW? hmm.gif

My current gear is a D40 with 18-200 attached. Want to carry a flash along, probably add a 10-20 and a 17-55/16-50 f2.8 in the future so wanna make sure the bag can accommodate those as well. Or am I being a bit overkill here? lol

I think AW Stands for the All Weather sheath cover that extends to cover the whole bag. But from what I see, the new Lowepros have these weather sealed zippers and hydro resistant materials for the construction...... hmm.gif

yes... AW is for that cover. The Primus AW is constructed by water resistant outer fabric but still have the AW cover to protect from rain and sand. So it will be nicer if FastPack comes with the AW cover too...

Double protection sounds good. My Crumpler 7Million is just water resistant. Doesn't have a water resistant AW Cover. TRYING TO pry the AW From my cheapo bag to see if it can fit......

haha.my case lagi overkill. The reason i wanna get fastpack 250 is because can store laptop (extra 2-.2.5kg). haha. no choice. or else i'll be carrying two bags (one for laptop, one for camera). but not all the time will carry with laptop la

I am using Lowepro Fastpack 250. Bought for S$130 (RM300) from Singapore Cathay Photo.

Just for info, this bag is OK for you to travel with laptop and such but will not be enough as your overall camera bag as the camera compartments are not big enough.

And after laptop+camera+lenses... you will get shoulder pain within half a day.'

This is a photo of my bag now..
