QUOTE(Zaryl @ Sep 28 2008, 04:56 PM) Is this a good 32" Full HD LCD tv? Any review on this? I'm contemplating to get this one. Saw it at SenQ Sunway Carnival for RM3500! rm3500? the price for this model has dropped significantly you may be able to get it within rm2,300-2,400 range.. fellow member here htkaki is having this up for sale as well you might want to hit him for more info |

Am considering between a 32" TV Samsung Series 5 & Samsung 24" Monitor T240. Price is about rm600 difference.
Would like to know for Video Game & Computer Monitor use, which one is a better choice? I compared the specs of TV & Monitor, seems TV wins hands down on the numbers. Only thing is the 32" TV has bigger pixel than the 24" monitor. Just like to know is there any catch for this? Why monitor tend to have longer response time, less contrast ratio but are usually more expensive compared to TV of same class? |

I reckon looking at 32" TV as a monitor is very weird due to the pixel size Most TVs boost their contrast ratio by using dynamic contrast/ artificial touch up Don't look solely on the specs, trust your eyes |

How far are you planning to sit away from your display? QUOTE(advocado @ Sep 30 2008, 10:42 AM) Sorry your highness for my noobness. What the guys here meant is distant you are viewing the monitor from. If you just mention near or far, it is relative and no one can help you there...not don't want to help you but can't help you at all So I need a monitor for close view and a tv for far view? Thats so smart I would have done that if i'm loaded with cash princess. |

Exactly. Why can't just answer straight to the point ie. feet or metres instead of being a snob?

QUOTE(advocado @ Sep 30 2008, 03:29 PM) Exact numbers are easy. I'm using a 32" LCD TV for a monitor and I'm sitting close as if I'm using like a normal computer.... No problems so far.... Played both PC games and consoles as well on same display..... Very satisfied so far.... The onli thing different between LCD TV and computer monitor is the resolution.... If u dun intend to push for higher resolutions on ur PC and still wan a bigger screen, then go for LCD TV.... If not, go for monitor.... As for me, I got the LCD TV just to play consoles..... Later might think of getting a 30" monitor if I got the money to replace it coz of resolution.....As close as 50cm for monitor use As far as 300cm for TV use. Good enough for an answer? |
