^ I tried connecting my notebook to it using HDMI and enable 1:1 pixel mapping on the W400. Here's what I noticed. If u sit about 6 feet away, its 'pretty' good BUT its not as good as LCD monitors (e.g the 24" Dell that I use for my PC).
Having said that, I've not tried a "TEXT" mode and I did not try connecting using the D-SUB (VGA) connector. Sometimes I wonder if its practical to use a 40" as a PC monitor.

I forgot to add : Don't pay anything more than RM7000 for the 40" W400.
welwitchia, can you test to see if your 40" outputs 1080p using component?

Just curious since I plan to play HD content through my notebook which has VGA out but does not have HDMI or DVI. I understand with the proper cables, VGA can breakout to component. Thanks.

That's why you need to get the D series...it uses 10-bit panel...even for 32"
Thanks for the info. I guess if you were going for 32", 1080p does not matter. D series is a better buy then.
I'm currently itching for the 46W400A (or the Sharp 46" A63). Kena racun because I saw it side by side against the 40".
