Heya peeps,

I have decided to get the Samsung Series 5 C430. Its excellent !! It has some of the features like the sony EX series.. ambient light sensor.. but the best part is that it has a usb outlet. Plays MPS, Pictures and movies.

and yes it can play MKV files...tested and confirmed = )))

So if anyone is looking out for Full HD 32" dont give this model a miss..

My 2 sen's worth?

FORGET 32 INCH..!

I went to TBC Elektrik in Sg Buloh and got my 42-inch plasma (LG 42PQ30R) for RM2,000 ngam-ngam. And that includes delivery to my house in Rawang, plus reinstalling my ASTRO dish + set-up.

Freaking bargain of the century, not even LYN sellers can match this.

If you've only got RM1,190 to spare... the shop also offers the Samsung LA32B350 at that price.

aiyak pilot.....just bought this model accidentally at Tesco last Sunday @ RM2549...... doh.gif

Hi guys,

I've tried scanning through this thread but I cannot find an answer. I'm planning on buying a HDTV for my Wii.

I know Wii output is 480p (with correct cables) but HDTV is either 720 or 1080, so the upscalling will cause a phenomenon called "input lag".

This will cause problems on timing specific games like Guitar Hero and fighting games.

Are there any brands/model series out there which can handle this problem?

Thank you.

I don't know where you heard about this "input lag" from, I have a Wii connected to 32" HDTV, there's no upscale going on, it's connected at 480p with component cable.

Input lag happens on every non-CRT display out there.

The display will tell you the input resolution, but unless you play Wii games with thick black borders on the sides, you are definitely getting an upscaled picture.

I don't think there are any TVs that can solve that problem, but you could try turning off stuff like 'Motionflow' or DNR to try and reduce TV processing as much as possible.

Also, input lag usually isn't substantial enough to cause problems in stuff like GH or SF.

Guys, i have a question here... i m planning to upgrade my dekstop LCD so that it can play PS3(which i planning to own soon) in my study room... Saw Vk266H from Asus, is it good? but the resolution is 1920x1200, means that is a 16:10... Does it brings any problem in PS3 gaming? Any user reviews on play consoles games such as PS3 and Xbox360 on PC LCD monitor? Any other maybe larger model intro to me which i can put it on my table or hang it to my wall? i don think i need big TV for it... because my planning it to put the PS3 beside my PC, and i still can work with my PC with the same monitor... thanks

No black bar because it's stretched to 16:10, something not everyone can accept.

Fat Kratos FTW!

Although I'm pretty sure most 16:10 monitors have 1:1 mapping, so you'd have black bars, but nicer PQ.

Hi to all the LYN forumer, Im will going to buy a new 32" LCD/LED Tv to replace my old LG LH20 HD ready 32". Now I has choose this two tv but cant decided which is the best for me and both of this is at the same price. My usage for this tv is for playing the PS3. 90% of time I will play a football game, and the other is playing the Fighting and FPS game. My choice are:-

1) Sony Bravia LCD EX500 32"
or
2) Samsung LED series 4 32"

The Sony TV is the LCD TV but it has the 100hz motioflow, Full HD 1080P and Bravia Engine 3

The Samsung TV is the LED Tv and I think it 720P. yesterday when I see it beside the LCD tv, both show the football match and I see the LED TV show more sharp and clear compare to the LCD tv beside it. This make me Think twice

So i need the the forumer opinion which one is worth to buy because I think I will use it in a long term (6-7 years). Does the 100hz can make a lot of different when playing the football game or it just shows the few different. And does the Full HD 1080P is significant to the 32" TV and show much different. It make me confuse to choosing this two tv because it at a same price. Im hope peole can can give their opinion about this, Ok thanks smile.gif

You might want to check the price in lowyat. It seems to be cheaper than the price you got.

or you can go to Legend in SS2. (but dont listen to the salesperson. wink.gif )

K thanks. But actually I not really care about the price tags, but Im just concern on the picture quality, that can give the best picture when playing the football games like Fifa 10 or Fifa World Cup 2010. It hard to decide to get the LED but just HD-Ready or LCD that have full Hd and 100hz

Bring your ps3 and test until you are satisfied. If they do not allow you to test then just buy it from other places.

Thanks melt for your advice. But I think I will wait for Samsung LED series 5 32" to coming into the malaysia market. Yesterday I saw it in the Samsung Singapore website, and I like it feature and design. A price maybe a little bit higher but I will use it for a long term so it worth to buy

Just got a PS3 lately, and using my living hall HDTV.
But prefer to get another one to play in my room instead.
Let's say from 22" to any size, what's the cheapest FULLHD I can buy?
