Burn in isn't that big a problem anymore. If you really so scared, can use the 'Zoom' function so got no black bars on the screen.

Guys, i have a question here... i m planning to upgrade my dekstop LCD so that it can play PS3(which i planning to own soon) in my study room... Saw Vk266H from Asus, is it good? but the resolution is 1920x1200, means that is a 16:10... Does it brings any problem in PS3 gaming? Any user reviews on play consoles games such as PS3 and Xbox360 on PC LCD monitor? Any other maybe larger model intro to me which i can put it on my table or hang it to my wall? i don think i need big TV for it... because my planning it to put the PS3 beside my PC, and i still can work with my PC with the same monitor... thanks

^better buy lcd with 16:9 aspect ratio.. depend on lcd, if u buy 19:10 lcd, the image can either stretch to full screen or u will see black border at bottom n top of the screen. both look stupid..
--------------------- i have samsung 2494hs which work perfectly well with xbox360. i just realize, setting a resolution to 720p will give clearer n great pic quality compare to 1080p. i'm not really sure whether it applied to all tn lcd but it work well in 2494hs. just a minor tweak like black level, magic tune, n gamma setting, it will give good looking pic quality. Will it introduce more blur than neccessary? Better try before u buy. I saw the Motionflow tech...sometimes it's good (like watching animated movies), but sometimes it introduce too much blur which looks kinda weird.i wanna get this model also, but my budget is only 2500 below, so only can down to NX4 for RM2299. =.= but cant really settle for this. |

Hi, I have the older Xbox 360 that does not have the HDMI port... I just bought a Sharp 42" Full HD LCD (lc42a77m) and it sucks that the TV doesn't take 1080p over component inputs. anyone have this problem?

I went to TBC Elektrik in Sg Buloh and got my 42-inch plasma (LG 42PQ30R) for RM2,000 ngam-ngam. And that includes delivery to my house in Rawang, plus reinstalling my ASTRO dish + set-up. Freaking bargain of the century, not even LYN sellers can match this. If you've only got RM1,190 to spare... the shop also offers the Samsung LA32B350 at that price. any comments on those Samsung LED TV? looks tempting, thinking of upgrading my 32" LCD to 40".
Added on March 30, 2010, 7:08 pmHoly crap, I went to SenHeng, 40" LED is at 5.6k, that's nearly double of the regular 40" LCD, might have to settle down with the regular LCD at the moment. This post has been edited by Mr Ez: Mar 30 2010, 07:08 PM |

Guys, I am actually thinking of upgrading my current HDTV which is an LG model 32" full HD but with a 50Mhz refresh rate. My problem is that when I play high-def games such as FF13 I notice that when I am static the scenery is fantastic but when it moves it makes me really dizzy and unable to focus properly on the scenery.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Hence I am trying to fix it by getting something with 100MHz and above. Hopefully this will solve my woes. At the moment I am torn between two models of SHARP Aquous. I am considering either the LED or LCD version. The LED version is about RM 4,399 at the local Seng Heng in my area and the model number is LC40LE700M. Apparently this is a 40" screen. However, one of my friends have told me that this model might not be fully LED since it might be a fringe LED panel. The other LCD version is the LC46A66M and costs about RM 3,499 and is a 42" screen with full HD and 100MHz capabilities. My dilemma is the fact that LEDs seem to be the rage these days. And I am upgrading my TV for the long haul. My main purpose is of course high-def gaming (PS3) and also blue-ray with some HD movies via USB external HDD. Thanks for the input guys! I need some opinions ASAP as I plan to get it this week or the next. |
