Thats because people who use Windows Ultimate is the highest end level of all the microsoft OS. So they're only expecting you to upgrade to ultimate only, where as those users who use a windows OS below leve of ultimate, can still upgrade to Ultimate (or to business or other editions) can do it.

They changed the way Remote Desktop works. Now more secure and you can block what remote desktop can or cannot do like copying something to and from the clipboard from both PC

the most obvious improvement is control panel, used to take quite long to load up all the icon in it, after sp 1, its just took a blink of an eye 0-0

Ceh dry.gif.

Neway, the other thing I discover is

1. A noticeable faster copy/cut paste speed, but I prefer using 3rd party software like TeraCopy more.

2. The deleting speed doesn't improved at all.

3. I got a short delay whether I open up Computer. sweat.gif

4. UAC pop up faster.

5. Slower shutting down speed. WTF? sweat.gif

I think I need to fresh install my Vista back and update everything before I start installing application and games.

Better that way actually. I'm waiting for a standalone Vista SP1 installer to try out.

Teracopy is gay. I found that it copies more slowly the more high end the PC is. And heck. Vista is better as it don't use disk cache but instead direct IO for copying. Slower yes, but there will be no corrupted files

Upgraded using the standalone. Everything seems fine except battlefield 2, kept crashing mid-game, till i re-installed the drivers for my 8800gts. All's good now.

MS website. You have to become an OEM partner with them (I registered under my varsity's name) and get the link from easyzudin's post. But they won't let you use direct download, which is gay as I can use direct download on beta testing page. But there are no ISO for beta testers T.T

Installed it on my office computer..

Here's what I noticed:-
1) Network speed seems faster (Transferring file over network)
2) Startup and shutdown also faster

So, is it worth to upgrade to SP1 now? Or keep with the non-SP1 version and wait for further feedback of SP1? Coz I think I'm going to install my Vista back, or might wait for XP SP3 release... hmm.gif
