That's most likely the price for male, I don't think you should even try that if they are charging only $10 for a female cut lol.
I have tried one of those in Kingsford before, but it was pretty crappy imo, I would rather pay a few more bucks and get it done in the city.

Toowoomba so boring, might as well take up a sport.

I used to shoot pistols back in Malaysia, but if i want to shoot em now, it's alot of paperwork, so rifles are good enough.

The korean salons are usually located at Pitt St, there are at least 3-4 between the stretch of Liverpool and Bathurst St that charge about $15 for a male haircut. I recently found one along that same stretch charging only $10 and the result is acceptable biggrin.gif However the shop is not so obvious so you gotta look for it, it's 1 or 2 units away from Princeton apartment.
*Tetsuyas is located at Kent Street, CBD.

@errica:
I have heard that you need to make reservations a few months in advance? Hmm $195, did they actually reduce their price recently? My friend told me that it used to be close to $300 last time. Guess I should try it out once when I graduate or before I leave smile.gif

Vue de Monde is supposedly No. 1 in Melbourne, probably along with Jacques Reymond. At $200+ per person, it better be! tongue.gif

There are 2 Rockpools - Rockpool in Sydney (high end formal dining) and Rockpool Bar & Grill in Crown, Melbourne (more informal). I've been to Rockpool Melbourne and it is really good, although some of my friends believe not worth the money. Then there's Donovan's in St Kilda, Bistro Guillaume (Crown) and Botanical (South Yarra) which are all pretty awesome. Plenty of places to go to in Melbourne!

Errr............waiting might be a good idea? It is still only Sept y'know. The 2009 semester only starts in late Feb, and I doubt few people will get a answer before December. Of course, foundation programs are different.

(You can actually do a 3 month "foundation" (late Oct, Nov, Dec, and a sprinkling of Jan) and get into some programs).

On a another matter, can someone collect the information about haircuts, the cheap, the good, the nasty, the to avoid etc, so I can add it into V2.5 of the Studying in Australia thread. Please PM it to me, DONT post it all here. Thanks.

As for Birsbane, I get by with my $9 haircut. Its a place run by Thai-Chinese (some of the older ones actually speak Teochew!), and IMO it is okay, even for guys. They do go to some pains to style your hair. You're not going to look like Shun Oguri, but it does the job.

Anyone in Brisbane know of a cheaper place?
