I know a lot of full time office workers who work as a music teacher at night. Their work from 9AM to 5PM. 6PM will be start teaching until 9PM.

3 hours work, 6 students. Each student will get about RM60 (just grade 1 student), so RM60 x 6 = RM360 monthly. 4 days in a month, one day in a week. So, you do math for the rest of it.

For music teacher, as I have post.

For performance, each MPO concert for every violinist will get around RM1, 000 at least for a night.

For those parents who said music is futureless are really judging the book by it's cover.

Yes, at least grade 8 holder for the background musician. Soloist must show high level performance, qualification and also fame.

Basically everywhere wants a certified teacher. If you are not, the school can negotiate with you. Example is I know a grade 3 holder who are teaching only grade 1 students (cannot teach grade 2 unless the teacher go higher grade). So, apply anywhere. The best is to find those desperate music school who needs violin teacher. But if you have never teach before, you must go through a training from their principle first.

The only desperate school that needs a violin teacher is Mama Treble Clef at Endah Parade SS2 Petaling Jaya.

At my place, actually just got enough violin teacher in Puchong for this year but not the past years. The requirement is the same as I have said.

Well, I think you can start to teach. Wait no more, do things early.

Theory is not mention during my training but it is better to have.

You will learn how to tackle that problem during training. Well as a teacher, you must do research every now and then. Understanding what an adult and a kid wants. That is why when teaching grade 1 but the teacher is only grade 2 it is unacceptable.

Music teachers usually spend time on music library searching for books for these people, the songs and all.

That is music analysis.

grade 8 or what is not important. I've seen many violin/piano diploma holders play like hopeless idiots without the book. They are so dependant on the book that they became instant retards without any book.

Each time someone tells me they have grade 8 or higher, I make them play something without book. Sure they will behave like retards!.Hahaha...

LOL I saw a violin performance on tv just now. OMG the moment she plays it, I knew it was love at first sight (/hearing?). Hehe.. fell in love with the melody of course. wub.gif Aahh.. With the melody piercing through my heart.. XD Hehe.. No wonder they get paid highly for just performing.
Well the performance really made my day.

Hmm.. apparently, my teacher doesn't provide theory in her class. She told me to get a book and do it on my own. unsure.gif
And only enquire her whenever I don't understand. Aw man.. And I thought I can have theory with her. doh.gif

From what I heard, there isn't much people interested in violin.. Piano is more likely a first choice. How come a lot of people wants to tutor in violin? unsure.gif

So you need another class for theory. wink.gif

In every music school at least there is a violin student, so must have a teacher too at least or backup. Worst is cello and viola, totally got no backup. sweat.gif

Do they actually have a teacher who teaches only theory? Isn't it normally like in piano, after practical, we do theory??
