Don't get it wrong ... SDK is not for end users. Its for developers to develop the apps for iphone. Its a set of developement tools to ease the programming of the app on iphone, something like the unofficial toolchain dat people uses now to develop current apps.

The apps develop with the SDK will be release via itunes. Some may be free and some u have to pay for it. It depends on the developer. The developer need to send the app to apple for evaluation and apple will sign the app with the application key. This is where 'NIKITA' comes to place. The apps will be executed in a 'sandbox', a protected space thats interact indirectly with the critical system files so no damage can be done to the system.

Yup ... got an account with itunes US. The price for the app would vary but i don't think its gonna be expensive. HD movie rental is cheap as there's a 24 hour expiry date on it.

One more thing ... it would take some time for apps to be published after the release of the SDK but some developers already got the SDK for testing.

True 1.1.3 upgrade means 1.1.3 firmware + 04.03.13_G Baseband. This only applies to BL3.9 as they can unlock the 04.03.12_G baseband with anysim1.3 or ziphone whereas if u upgrade from itunes to 1.1.3 for BL4.6 and did the unlock either thru gunlock or ziphone, it will downgrade the baseband back to 04.02.13_G (1.1.2 baseband) to enable the unlock. Hence u can't use some features in the new firmware i.e locate function in gmaps. But some reported that they are facing problem (cell network problem) when using 1.1.3 firmware with 1.1.2 baseband (1.1.3 F/W + 04.02.13_G baseband).

Regarding the 'Call failed' thing on maxis ... its definitly from the provider and not the phone. It oso happen if u use other phone. When i use on my SE, i always get 'call failed ... network busy'. What u can do is turn the phone off and on back or just take the sim card out and put it back. Its something got to do with maxis network capacity being overloaded.

It is oso advisible to do a clean restore to 1.1.3 so u won't be facing the trouble with native apps. Means start fresh without any data on 1.1.3. Not upgrade but restore to 1.1.3 to wipe everything out. This is because the file structure for 1.1.3 has change from 1.1.2.

Running locate me or navizon with 1.1.3 but 04.02 BB are known ways to get gmaps locate working. This already been discovered way back when the softupgrade issue. Have u tried rebooting ur phone and run gmaps without using locate me or navizon first?

Locate me uses the net to search the DB for location. So it requires cell network + wifi or cell network + edge or else it wont work.

I would suggest u to refrain urself from downgrading the bootloader. Wait for the coming development. Once u go to BL3.9 ... u can't go back to BL4.6. Now they said BL4.6 is more valueable as it has an exploit to let it be flash with custom BL.

i use BSE front only with capsule. Best combination so far.

or just use find ... type *.ipsw

Pure Apple iPhone? Once u jailbreak, activate (not thru itunes) and unlock ... ur phone is not pure anymore. Jailbreak changes the permission for the system file, using a crack lockdown file for activation and unlocking the baseband with patched one to use unauthorized sim.

One more thing ... whats the fuss with SDK. End users don't benefit from it ... only developers. Its not a program but " A collection of TOOLS to help DEVELOPER to build APPS". What u should be waiting for is OFFICIAL APPS ... not the SDK. Even if the SDK out end of this month ... u would probably have to wait a while before Official Apps can be downloaded. This is because apple have to test and validate the apps so its compatible with iphone. Some might be downloaded right after the SDK launch as some developer got it early for testing.

If ur worried it conflicts with the stuff from installer then just uninstall it. Its easy. Installer + SDK = more wonderfull apps.

haha ... eating at carls jr now while stealing wifi from nandos. Kekekeke. BTW problem with call failed happen frequently on maxis. Even using other phone oso i got call failed on maxis. U dont hear people on digi or celcom complaining. Maxis network sudah jem la.

1.1.3 oledi ready for 3rd party app. Thats why app now found in mobile folder. Nikita oso part of it. Dats why they say last time nate jb breaks nikita and cant use for official apps. Nikita use to varify if its an approve app o not. Apps run in a 'sandbox' condition in mobile folder which is a control environment.

I install a lot of apps and do heavy modding on my phone and never encounter any hangs dat need reboot or anything.

Well mine will show my maxis or digi or any other operator if i change the sim card ... only dat it will show the full name. Not just MY... I don't use Make it mine coz if u change the sim ... the name won't change with it.

Do u have summerboard install? If u don't then ur apps might be in the next page but u just can't access them. Summerboard patch the springboard (dats ur desktop) so u can have more than one desktop or pages.

yup ... unpatch springboard only allow 16 apps to be displayed. if on 1.1.3 then u no need to install summerboard as u can create pages natively.

Do u see any white dots just above mail and safari icons? if so then try to flick to ur left. If not then go into SMBPrefs and look into the setting.

Well i'm on my trusty 1.1.2. Not yet interested with 1.1.3. Giving it a months time after SDK to mature more in terms of apps compatibility.

Added on February 18, 2008, 12:30 amOne of the reason its stuck is one or more of ur sources is not responding. The other one would be ur connection. If ur connection is fine then the sources are just busy and u got a time off. Sometimes installer just got stuck in a time off. Just press the home button until the installer close and try again later.

DAMN ... no wonder the battery always die fast. Just confirm the battery got swollen from the H/W attemp last time. Haiyaa ... now have to find battery replacement.

Like not even 1 day. Tot its the battery calibration thing but open up the phone just now and saw the battery swollen edi. Must be last time i accidently puncture the battery.

Looking from ur description ... ziphone did downgrade ur bootloader. 1.1.3 OTB with 04.03 and unlock. U can check with HWInfo ... source from trejan.com if not mistaken.
