maybe in another 10 years. Right now there's nothing much there except IKEA and Design Village. But then again, 10 years can pass by in a flash. Convenient if you are working in the factories nearby.

yes. Next year should finish phase 1.

Suppose phase 1 should finish long time ago. But due to covid19, it keep delay.
Now their plan is 2022 year end phase 1 done and can open for public.
So the property at pulau tikus especially shop lot will raise right?

The area got gurney paragon, gurney plaza, then this gurney wharf which got garden/park. Those Singaporean and China people now may already starting to buy some of the property in that area.

the buildings are coming along but filling them would take some time I think. Plus with the pandemic and all, things that require human footfall: retail, tourism, F&B etc will take a while to recover, leading to even slower growth. The development there isn't exactly high density at the moment. Not much to draw people there yet except maybe the factories. There is supposed to be some college or uni and a hospital planned too, but again, looking at the economic outlook it could take a while. I don't see anything much happening there in the next 5 years

Probably another 10 years - will need a critical mass of facilities and amenities for it to boom. Most importantly the economic growth there needs to have a boom - with jobs comes people, then businesses/shops will follow. It's a slow process though as most islanders would prefer not to cross the bridge to work if possible.
