Just collected my leo2a6 and t-34 last couple of days even though it was bought much earlier due to raya holidays and courier staff all on leave. added fans to the rx 18s' and changed to high speed motors for the leo2a6, also converted my ztz99a to 2.4ghz. The 2.4ghz is a welcome sight as the volume and smoke functions of the tanks can be controlled from the transmitter. Definitely will convert all my tanks to the new heng long 2.4ghz system. Can't wait for the challenger and abrams tanks coming soon from Heng long. Seems their quality improves with each new model they launch. PS I will have extra RX-18 as well as controller, receiver board as i have upgraded mine to Elmod, anyone who needs can pm me for price. Cheers.

Where did you buy your tanks & 2.4GHz components (Elmod)? I prefer TK22 electronics though but for now I just want to upgrade the gear, sprocket & tracks to metal. Then slowly upgrade the battery & electronics. Motor will be the last upgrade.

Ya, it look like that... But it can modify too. See the video below, someone modify with Heng Long.
from the youtuber said: Originally a Hobby Engine M1A2. Converted to Henglong with : MFU RX-18, controller and receiver. Upgrade battery to 3000 mAh. Using gearboxes, sprockets, tracks from ZTZ99. Scratch build TUSK extension and repaint.

the video is old, bcos HL dont have M1 & challenger 2 during tat time. HL already make M1A2 & Challenger 2, maybe available in next year.
I don't mind getting 1/24 for collection if the design & the quality is good. Rubber tracks is very good for climbing. I have OEM tank with rubber tracks that can climb almost anything with less effort. Manoeuvring on the grass, however, not so good. I need to turn the tank slowly to avoid throwing off the tracks.
I will be upgrading my Panther (Pantiger) tank to 2.4GHz using RC5HL board from rctankaustralia. Cheaper than Clark TK22 board. Now I just need to find not too expensive 2.4GHz radio, transmitter & receiver. Turnigy 9X set is out of stock everywhere I looked.

Hobby Engine electronics is quite, eccentric, to say the least no proportion speed, barrel goes up and down WITH turret rotation (not independent) if one could change the inner workings of it, Hobby Engine seems like a viable choice for well detailed tank OOB if moolah ain't a problem
Tiger I@, I remember you said some of your friends already upgraded to Clark TK22 board. Can you ask them what radio they're using & how they deal with the non-self-center left stick kat radio tu?
