Haha heard about this thread, well i have all the henglong 1/16 tanks, from first generations which were crap until they release the tanks with rx18 boards. The best one i think todate would be the ztz99, bigger than king tiger hahahahaha. Here's some pictures of my collection.

you might want to pm that person from fb that i share a few post up
Regarding the Stug III i think i got it from the fb guy. For Stug III they don't come with bb version just the ir version. I don't modify the tank much but throughout internal i'm ok to solve most issues like smoker, range, functions as to be frank most of the tanks i got suffered from lots of minor problems, like missing parts, wrong parts, broken parts, hence the problem with buying online. If I have a shop here selling here at around the same price better. For ztz i changed the motors to simulate speed for modern tanks, meaning faster loh. All my tanks are running on 5000mah lipo battery just have to modify the battery compartment. Frankly at their price all of the tanks from heng long are a bargain. I remember when they came out with the tiger i more than 10 years back i was one of the first to get it costing more than rm400 each without smoke and sound from hong kong and all of them last less than a minute run before frying the circuit boards. That's why after that i got the tokyo marui and vs tank, just started collecting the heng long ones after a long term of phobia. You're welcome to pm me on any issues, i'll be glad to help if i could. Cheers. Added on November 10, 2012, 10:15 am QUOTE(Acher13 @ Nov 9 2012, 07:18 PM) Guys, got any online shop to buy these tanks? www.lelong.com.my, there is 2 version of panzer iv, F1 and F2. Cheers. 2 sellers there, myshop8 and jiafeiI tried to order Panzer IV model from DRC toys but after I check out they told me its out of stock after after all inquiring about shipping and such... and yeah, I want that particular model. i see Maybe later i would want to haul on that stug, hehe I dont mind if its bb or ir, just as long as its in correct dimension Ownibg one does give ine such satisfaction since tamiya is tad too much to ask for maybe later we could discuss on the internal part, i still have a lot to learn Interested to upgrade to elmod or slu, but as of now, maybe one should wait. Tad expensive for me
Forthe mod you can have another tank.??? eventually i think collect those that you want then go slowly from there, Acher 13, just for info being online has it's risk too as you can't see and test the physical thing. I have both the seller's email and if you want i can pm you. For info the panzer iv they are selling the F1 is desert yellow colour and f2 grey other than that the shape is identical except for the barrel..cheers |

QUOTE(Acher13 @ Nov 19 2012, 12:49 PM) Here's mine fresh out of the box. PzIV F2 and PzIII. Haha so they finally arrived, glad to hear. as for battery yes to be safe just charge till warm, but don't forget to monitor as they do not stop even when full. I'm using peak chargers so not much time wasted. anyway the stock batteries are crap getting worse everytime you charge, I'm running 5000mah 2 cell lipos on my tanks, play till you hope it'll drain faster hahahahaha. checked everything in box is alright, now waiting for battery to fully charge. how do I know full charge when there's no led indicator on charger? Added on November 20, 2012, 10:27 am QUOTE(Acher13 @ Nov 19 2012, 07:18 PM) next in line I wanna get the Sturm III or Tiger.. only let down for the tank I just got is no flashing turret, I can live with that for now. flasing is only for the ir version but then you won't be able to shoot bb. As for pin removal i use paper clip to push a bit out then pull out with needle nose pliers. also, any easy way to take off the pin from tracks? taking off is quite painful. QUOTE(Acher13 @ Nov 20 2012, 11:16 AM) I use fingernail to pull it out and ouch, the PzIII tracks keep getting off with super spin either you dab a little instant glue or like me i bend the pin a little. Cheersas for the PzIV I'm quite satisfied that its accuracy was good even from 10m distance, shooting my old dinosaur toys. |

Dear Acher13, when i got my tanks some came with parts broken like yours due to our friendly courier, by the way since you like girl figurines and tanks so much, there is a new anime called girls und panzer currently airing in Japan, there is up to episode 9 currently which will finish at 12 episode, guess what they all use WW2 tanks, and the main character is using your favourite panzerIV.
You'll find you wouldn't stop at 4 probably like me collect every model. For your crystal they are simple AM 27mhz type which you can buy from any hobby shop or online stores which you replace and as long as they are from different frequencies of 27 you can run as many as you want without clashing. Cheers. This post has been edited by deathpion: Dec 8 2012, 10:16 AM |

Generalpete, if you're into modern tanks then ztz99 is the biggest and longest of the lot. Price is the same as king tiger which is more the other tank range. In the end i think you'll probably end up wilth all the models or most of what you can find as they are super addictive.
Acher13 my theme after watching the anime is painting my stug red hahahahahaha, pink, gold etc to match. |

Other than the king tiger and ztz, KV1, the rest are easily available.

Dear Acher 13, just to check with you when you recently purchase the tauch panzer iii did the manual come with additional piece for extra accesories? Did you receive the rear tow hooks? I got one recently which came without manual and there is no tow hooks provided and when got a copy of the scan accesories page it doesn't show up but at henglong website the tank has them installed to the back. Weird, there is 2 holes each side for the tow hook installation.

Yeah that's why i found it weird as from your picture you notice there is tow hooks but my tank came without. I got it fromn the same guy you did, came with lots of broken parts and one movement function was out send back to the seller which instead of sending me a new one send this tank for repair just got it on saturday missing some parts ie even the machine gun on turret missing, no manual etc even the inside foam box in pieces.

no point changing the rx18 as it will cost around rm100, get a new tank and use the old ones for spare parts cheaper and more cost efficient as new tank 200 plus. just my 2 cents
