Thanks sir. Appreciate your effort for the COD and I'm sorry for being late a lil bit (because we're not allowed to bring my phone to meeting room). Yeah, can smell the honey even when the lid havent been opened. I am not sure why causing that but I do know the smell is nice. hahahha~!!!

I hope it wont "explode" like mr hooyuejih's honey when im gonna taking a sip tonight before i sleep. Already put in the fridge since right after COD. Hopefully it'll be okay. biggrin.gif

Thanks again,...

Dear Usermode,

The reaction of honey is forcing it through the cap. Unbelievable !
Honey can be poured out easily right out from the fridge.
Enjoy your honey wink.gif

Hi! mr. khong, i'm a mother of two (aged 2 1/2 and 8 yrs). I'm looking for a natural remedy for both my sons sinus problem. Feeding them with antihistamine everyday makes me feel so bad as this the only option i have at the moment to make them feel better. I did some research and found out that bee pollen is good for sinus and taking raw honey is one of the way to benefit from it. However, my major concern and worried is the so call botolium (dun know whether i spell it correctly) that will be dangerous to young children's intestine. Is it true that raw honey shouldn't be given to children under 1 or 2 years? Do you think raw honey is safe for my 2 1/2 yrs old?

I just joined as a member after reading all your threads. I will be very grateful if you can give me some advise on this. Thanks in advance.

Hi Yvonne,

I did some reading and found that honey is definitely not suitable for children below 1 year old as the bee pollen may cause allergy on children.
Not sure about 2 years old though.

As a precuation, it is not advisable to give ur children raw honey or bee pollen if they are under the age of 2. (although they are 2 1/2 yrs old now). Bee pollen if given to underage children will also succumb them to hay fever.

There are other ways of overcoming your problem. One I can think of immediately is the use of an ozionser. If your children live in a stuffy room or in an air con room, there is not enough circulation of fresh air. Dust floats around the room without being extracted out and they find themselves into your children's respirotory system. Pollen is also consider dust. It irritates the throat and nasal passages and therefore they have sinus problems. Years back my wife use to have sinus problems. She wakes up and have a sneezing bout and so are my children. I bought this oioniser (sori forgot how to spell) and it has help reduced their problems. Sometimes it is allergies that cause your childrens problems. Use of histamines is a stop gap measure but does not look into the root of the problem. I suggest u acquire this ioniser wh I think it is quite cheap now and try it out. There is no harmful effects and if your children can have a good nights sleep, ur problems are literally solved without taking anything.

However, pl. be aware that I am not a doctor but only contribute my experience on this matter.

thanks for your info. and nice to meet you here.

Added on May 15, 2009, 9:08 pmThank you for your prompt reply, mr. khong.

It's been very nice of you to share your experience on sinus problem which is not related to this topic; by not bringing any sales to yourself. Will consider getting an ionizer soon for the kids, really fed up with the drugs!!

Anyway, might order 1 bottle for my hubby (a smoker) and 8 yrs old boy- safe, i guess?? Will let you know by next week to make further arrangement. BTW, can cod at OUG area, near Public Bank?

dear Yvonne

I hope u will find relief in ur childrens' dilemma. If u can find an alternative for it why want to spend unnecessarily.I do not advocate forummers to buy from me all the time . My intention of starting this thread is to supply information on the uses of honey. You hve. the choice.

As my supply is now down to 3 bottles, I will keep aside one bottle for you until next week. Yes I can cod u at Public Bank, OUG. Near to Stevens Corner right? just pm when u r ready.

Kind regards and hve a good weekend.

here was the result:

1) drop in hot water(pure honey wont dissolve quickly) >>FAIL
2) ANT >>PASS
3) drop on paper(pure honey wont make 2nd ring) >>PASS
4) pour on plate and run with water>>FAIL it just dissolve without forming any shape
5) match>> PASS the match lit up
6) mix with egg yolk>> FAIL nothing happen

dear Jay56

Thk you for ur info. Ha I have a 50% pass. perhaps i will try to answer some of the failed test to my best knowledge. As you understand, i had told most of my customers that our local honey, is very inconsistent. The quality depends on the type of trees or shrubs the bees collect the honey from. The weather also plays an impt. part. In rainy days the honey is lighter, in hot weather the honey is sweeter etc. wh. I had said in my thread.

dissolving honey in hot water quickly depend on the honey collected at that point of time. There are times that the honey I got is thicker and the last time, the honey was just like water.

Honey forming any shape. i had heard of it, esp. those who went for a tour in Thailand where they put on a plate and the honey will form into a honey comb shape. I have no inkling abt. this but it definately was a marketing tool.

Mix honey with egg yolk. Suppose to cook the egg. Again I have no idea that this can happen.

The intention of me starting this honey thread more than one year ago was to keep readers informed abt things pertaining to honey.I feel the most impt. thing is that if I consume the honey and it benefits me I am ok with it. I have never encouraged anyone to buy from me and leave the decision to them. Buying and selling depends on whom you trust. I trust my supplier only and if he cannot supply me I do not sell. It is not a business to me as I had said time and again that what I dont sell I can consume by myself.

However, pl. dont misunderstand me. I am not defending myself or the honey. To readers, buy if you have confidence otherwise dont buy is always my key note.

regards.

This batch of honey is very strong as I told you when I cod you. It is the characteristic of this honey from day one I bought from this supplier. Of course sometimes you do not have this as it depends where wnd when he gets his honey. You place it near the oven, washing machine which heat is generated. That is the cause of the explosion. try to keep in a cool dim place. If not possible put it in the fridge.

Lots of information and things I didn't know about. I think you've succeeded somewhat in educating us.
