No wonder... haha... then... just study hard..... haih.... actually 70-200mm is unecessary one la... If you shoot a lot of sports then ok la.... or shoot animals... but if you shoot friends, or things you can go close to it, it's useless....

All rounder lens lor... usually people will replace their kit lens first... if you want cheap and good lens. Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lor.. If you have extra cash and want L colour and USM. go 17-40mm f4 USM L , if have extra cash more more more more again. can go 17-55mm F2.8 IS USM.price is from RM14XX > RM2450 > RM 3XXX. Hahaha.... If you want potraiture, then get a 50mm f1.8 la.. good and cheap potrait lens. RM300+ only. This post has been edited by derek87: Mar 16 2008, 11:58 AM |

I might buy potrait lens first or macro. @_@. I think my 18-200mm Sigma OS is already all-rounder. ;p

QUOTE I think to buy this lens but focus length is base on full frame 35mm sensor. The 24mm is really wide. But when put into the APS-C sensor. It will become 24*1.6mm - 70*1.6mm = 38.4mm - 112mm. The wide angle will wipe off. I plan to buy 5D or 6D(maybe end of this year) before i proceed for this lens. If u have a good body than u can think on the high lens. This is my opinion. How much u buy. If grey from japan is about RM 3800 38.4mm is still OK for my usage and I don't have plans to upgrade to a FF body and spend another 5-7K RM on it. I wanted this lens for it's 2.8 and not really for much else. the 18mm on the kitlens vs the 24mm of the 2.8 is small I think. So, the next in line would be to get a UWA lah, but that budget not approved by Minister of Home Finance. I have yet to make the presentation proposal to get it approved. The tokina 12-24 is killer. I think Goldfries has one. I got it for USD1K(24-70). So it's still much cheaper than what you can find in M'sia. At that time, Canon USA also got promotion and then I found coupon / voucher so even better deal. This post has been edited by myjunk: Mar 16 2008, 12:17 PM |

too bad for you then. By that time, the promo no more already so you likely have to pay a bit higher price but still cheaper than here lah.
You might want to talk to the girl at pertama complex - international service as she said that she has lobang. But since your friend coming back.. then can also lah.. Added on March 16, 2008, 3:15 pmhey... I know you guys got buy lots of new stuffs man. Please don't forget to update the prices in the pinned thread stating where/what and how much you got it for lah. That is good information to have to avoid from getting conned into paying more than necessary lah. Money hard to earn and somemore, nowadays everything on the way up in terms of price. Remember ah.. QUOTE(kenlui @ Mar 16 2008, 04:04 PM) Wah.. when want TT session to pour some poison down ppl's throat??2mm difference is very little lah. 2mm = 3.2mm only and that, can be easily kau-tim by setting 1 foot backwards only lah. So, between the 2 who will win the cheap/value battle? (cos in terms of price, same-same lah) |
