i seen quite a few 350D user who plan to go 400D and 400D user who plan to go 450D.

seriously la guys, this kind of upgrade is just not worth it. might as well fund yourself for a larger jump to like 30D / 40D where you can adjust WB by 100k and have better features / buttons.

i'll go stright to 40D or 5D.

the thing is 40D and 5D the price gap, wow can get many other lenses. smile.gif

furthermore the thing about 5D is that it can't use EF-S lenses already (can't use Sigma's DC range. Tamron / Tokina i donno), so you need to find a counter-part for the 5D.

it's better to stretch your budgets a little further, so that when it comes to shopping, u will have extra cash to keep/burn. i always do like that when shopping for stuffs. it makes me feel safe.
*
i think you didn't get my point. it's just to inform the less-informed that the goods could be acquired for less than that's. smile.gif

even on my blog, i also set the pricing higher for all parts because it's best to over-budget then to under-budget.

some how Sony users give me an impression that
1. they're passionate about the Alphas, as in VERY passionate
2. everything else isn't as good as the Alpha.

i do think the Alpha is a good camera. Just that it's not the only good one around. smile.gif

regarding CF speed, IMO it depends on how you use it la.

if your style of photography rarely use BURST mode, then i don't see a problem using 50x.

those that want speed usually do lotsa bursts and snap in RAW, they'll get the faster CFs.

Now aimming for the Extreme IV as those Ducati Edition are too expensive and I feel that not worth paying much more for just a 5mb/s faster brows.gif
*
5mb/s faster doesn't do anything when you snap only 1 pic at a time. smile.gif i find that you have to be like really in need for the speed, like snapping a lot of burst shots of let's say some motorcross where participants pass your position again and again and such.

yeah lor, 66x also can do already. you use 66x or 150x. it's not like you can feel the difference unless the way you use pushes the read / write speed.

for me the main reason for grip is for a vertical (portrait) shots. if you shoot landscape most of the time then no need grip lor.

55-250 problem is you can't snap WIDE but you have longer range when it comes to tele.

and yes, the 18-200 OS is around Rm 1.7k. i got it at RM 1.7k last year NOV. so the price could possibly be lower nowadays.

sure 18-200mm OS around 1.7k? D: where you see @_@
*
i PAID for it. surely i know the price la. smile.gif

yes is RM 1.7k. i bought at Bintang, shop at BB Plaza. BINTANG ah, not BINTANG MAJU.

QUOTE(fcbarcelona-my @ Jan 25 2008, 05:26 PM)
yeah. its around rm1.7k. try ask goldfries. if i not mistaken..its around BB Plaza or YL camera.

last i heard YL also selling at RM 1.7k already. not sure, please call them for details.

on the other hand i met another 18-200 OS user the other day at outing and he bought is for around RM 1.8k i think. and that also he only bought it last month or something like that.

so the price varies, if you see RM 1.8k - please don't go thinking that i quote wrong price la. smile.gif cos really, even when i buy at RM 1.7k that time there were shops selling more than RM 1.8k.

so next would be something II as well? what's with the sequels. smile.gif

anyway i'm definitely not getting 580EX II cos it doesn't suit my style at the moment.

wait wait, our "lawat sambil belajar" not yet reach Stage #3 yet.

if we go Bukit Tinggi, i have a feeling the next poison will be wide-angle lens. smile.gif if not the macro lens.

mana tau it could even be filters.
