ermmmm let me guess.... i thingk the liquid you said toasted the board for those buttons.... most probably so coz every problem you said i related to the buttons there....

ermmmm i am not a pro so i am just basically guessing.... it's better you consult a few bro that do repairing jobs and etc here....

hope this will help....

one reminder... when dealing with liquid around your electronic product no matter i-phone, psp or etc.... REMOVE YOUR BATTERY.... it will pretty much save your life.... plus make sure it's all dry before putting your battery and turning it on again.....

You mean you want to go from 4.01m33 back to 3.80m33 and so on?

If so,then no,a Pandora's Battery isn't required. You can use a reflash method which has the ability to install older firmwares like 3.71m33 right on your 4.01m33 psp.Once done doing so,you can then run the 3.80m33 installer to get it back to 3.80m33.I see this as a much easier way to revert back to older firmwares rather than creating a Pandora's Battery and going through all the necesarry steps.

Alright,i'll explain a bit about the second problem that you're facing.

Your psp most probably bricked when upgrading.Of course, this is a very common problem among us psp users as there is ALWAYS a chance of bricking your psp when the flash 0 is messed with. This bricked unit can be unbricked very easily. If you send it to a shop, you might see yourself digging out RM75 ++ just to unbrick it (Just my estimation). You should NEVER pay for it as it is meant to be a freeware made by Team C+D.Alright, straight to the point.

Pandora's Battery Conversion Methods.

1)If you have an already hacked unit in hand :
-Download your favourite battery creator (My favourite is Hellcat's 3.xx creator),and run it on the hacked psp with the battery you want to convert to a Pandora's Battery in it.After the process is over, hey presto!! You'll have a Pandora's Battery in possesion biggrin.gif

2)If you DON'T have an already hacked unit in hand :
-You'll need to open up you battery and cut a pin. This process, however is quite risky to perform mainly because wrong moves can cause injuries to your body. This process is also unreliable (Tak boleh harap) because it'll take a few batteries to get it to work if you're unlucky.

Magic Memory Stick Creation :

1)Run the MMS creator via a hacked psp unit.

2)Run the MMS creator on your PC.This method is VERY easy and very good indeed.

Choose your options, and tell me what you want to do smile.gif

QUOTE(hanissyazwan @ Oct 18 2008, 10:17 PM)
I got my PSP about a month ago, and ordered an invisible shield screen protector for it, which came yesterday. I put it on, it looks fine. The problem is, now I'm having problems with the start button and select button. It looks fine, it's not pressed down or anything, but when using the PSP it is as if the start button is being held down.

My guess is that some of the magic spray got in under the start button /select button- would this explain the problem I'm having? And if so, will the water that's under there eventually dry out and stop causing the problem?
I left the thing overnight (~10 hours) before turning it on, and everything works great except the start button. I can even play most games. My question is - how do the buttons actually work? I'm assuming (with my very limited knowledge of electronics) that pressing the button down completes the circuit, and right now the water in there is completing the circuit instead. If that's the case I'm hoping that when it dries enough that will no longer be a problem - or can it have caused more permanent damage to the button?
plz help

Added on October 18, 2008, 11:01 pmjust now...when I turned my PSP on I saw the home menu and like 2 seconds later is went black! but with the green light still on well I turned it off and turned it back on and the home menu was working fine so i decided to listen to some music but when I tried to make the volume lower the brightness of the screen went higher and then when I hold down the screen button the sound goes off that was like 5 minutes ago NOW! the volume doesnt go higher or lower at all and when I flip the hold button doen and back up it does all kinds of weird crap! like volume goes up, sound goes off, brightness higher lower and lowest, then after all that the PSP goes black again! PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I SHOULD OPEN IT OR NOT!????????

1st.. the water got in the start button...
since its a strip... the water will go on to others button..
in this case, it go to the light display button.. the water make the stuff short circuit, making the button on 'hold'... like you are holding the display button then the screen will go to sleep mode.
simple stuff... done it... repair it... whistling.gif

if your afraid to open it, just send it to me, pay around rm10... why need to pay?
well its for the delivery back to the owner. the delivery is around rm5.90
so about the balance rm4.10? just think you belanja me makan loh... hehe

but you can give extra tip though if you want tongue.gif

For the very moment,i'd say stay at 4.01m33.I'm saying this because 4.01m33 is new enough to support ALL the available UMD titles out there,so there obviously is no need for a more recent firmware. Also,i know of some people who have bricked their psps while upgrading, and yes, they are pros. The amount of bricks is higher than the 4.01m33 updater,so yea. It's up to you smile.gif

If you want to upgrade, tell me and i'll guide you through it.

Nah,don't worry. You won't get banned or anything close to that.Millions out there are using iso/csos so yea,you get the idea smile.gif

for psp-GoIP (game over internet protocol) lol i made that up.
if u wanna play multiplayer games that connects tru wifi, eg. Monster Hunter Freedom 2, there's this handy little something called "xlink Kai".

i'm sure it can be applied to other games as well.. maybe even game sharing lol.
the info for it is somewhere in this forum. or else google it.

and i could fake my region anywhere for the update.. i'd say it doesnt matter lol.

edit: found the thread.. xlink kai is a tunneling software for playing ad-hoc GoIP.
