Hmm,i think you've got it wrong. You do NOT need to get to 3.71m33 or any higher firmware in order to upgrade your psp unit to 4.01m33.It can be done directly from 3.52m33-4.If you do have 3.52m33,all you need is the update-4.Do you homework, and then you'll be on 4.01m33 in no time. Here's a guide of mine : http://psph.malloc.us/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=110 Follow that guide, and feel free to ask if you fail to understand anything that i've included in my upgrade guide. Added on October 17, 2008, 7:04 pm QUOTE(benwong88 @ Oct 16 2008, 02:56 AM) a little help here ppl. So,this is your problem eh?i tried to update my psp 1000 from cFW 3.52 m33-4 to the latest cFW 4.03 m33-2. but when it reaches the part after the unpacking stage at the black screen, it tells u to wait... but i waited for a very long time & nothing happened. anyone got this prob? any idea how to get it over with? pm is welcomed It's very simple to solve. You just need to set your kernel in recovery mode.Follow my guide above,i have it mentioned in the very first step. Simple,go to recovery mode->Configuration and switch your fake region to Europe or any other region till it works.
*Recovery mode : Hold the off switch for 3-5 seconds, then HOLD R and boot your psp up* |

I got a few questions if u dont mind answering.
I plan to get a Psp 1000 soon whats the major diff between the slim and the 1000?i heard it was batt life and load time...but if the 1000 haz better batt life i wont mind it...over abother 15 sec to load something.... 2nd how does one identify that the batt is original? 3rd about the memory card....high speed and non highspeed does it really effect the speed/ laggness of the game? and if i were to NOT get a sony memcard would it still be as good? or the sony ones are much better cuz those cost a bomb!! is it true that the 8gb non high speed cards are laggyer cuz its to big?mainly i wana know the pros and cons or highspeed/non highspeed and Sony memcards/ NON sony memcards. for non sony memcards what other memcard brands are good? playboy already gave me some of his views but i want a 2nd opinion thks for helping me out guys/playboy |

Yes,a zip file.Extract it first, then you'll find a folder named Playboy_Shooter alongside a readme which explains how to install it.I believe WinZip is required to extract it on Windows, not too sure though.

I got my PSP about a month ago, and ordered an invisible shield screen protector for it, which came yesterday. I put it on, it looks fine. The problem is, now I'm having problems with the start button and select button. It looks fine, it's not pressed down or anything, but when using the PSP it is as if the start button is being held down.
My guess is that some of the magic spray got in under the start button /select button- would this explain the problem I'm having? And if so, will the water that's under there eventually dry out and stop causing the problem? I left the thing overnight (~10 hours) before turning it on, and everything works great except the start button. I can even play most games. My question is - how do the buttons actually work? I'm assuming (with my very limited knowledge of electronics) that pressing the button down completes the circuit, and right now the water in there is completing the circuit instead. If that's the case I'm hoping that when it dries enough that will no longer be a problem - or can it have caused more permanent damage to the button? plz help Added on October 18, 2008, 11:01 pmjust now...when I turned my PSP on I saw the home menu and like 2 seconds later is went black! but with the green light still on well I turned it off and turned it back on and the home menu was working fine so i decided to listen to some music but when I tried to make the volume lower the brightness of the screen went higher and then when I hold down the screen button the sound goes off that was like 5 minutes ago NOW! the volume doesnt go higher or lower at all and when I flip the hold button doen and back up it does all kinds of weird crap! like volume goes up, sound goes off, brightness higher lower and lowest, then after all that the PSP goes black again! PLEASE DOES ANYONE KNOW IF I SHOULD OPEN IT OR NOT!???????? This post has been edited by hanissyazwan: Oct 18 2008, 11:01 PM |
