U'd better be off formatting the mspd using PSP. If u wanna use PC to format, it's also doable. Just u have to backup all the PSP folders such as MUSIC/VIDEO/etc and copy it back into the mspd after format. smile.gif

but if use psp to format it will be in FAT32 format...
so i can format using pc in FAT16 but just backup the folder that inside the mspd than copy it back after formating to FAT16

that only apply for old firmware. For new firmware, u can put any name for the video and just put the video in VIDEO folder.

My mum forced me to ask this but, how to indentify if the PSP Slim is fake? What I'm saying is the parts (Motherboard, etc etc).

PSP most of shop selling is original. no need to worry about it.
if u looking for authorized dealer You need to go to SOny Style.
the rest of the shop in KL is not authorized dealer.

if u live around cheras area, pandan area i recommend u go to SCE at S&M complex in front of petaling street.
SCE... click here biggrin.gif

AT Damansara Cineleisure u can go GH aka Gamer Hideout with can be consider one of the most popular in this forum as the shop owner Jinn Always do a console competition also come out in newspaper few time ex: launching of GTA:IV

if u live near damansara GH is the best option. but if near KL town area i recommend SCE - keane(owner)

Just pop some question about battery using.
1. If I switch to sleep mode, is it waste any battery power there? How long the sleep mode can be? 1 hour? 1 day ??? Sometime playing game suddently phone coming or anything happen need to stop quite long time, but the game is going half way already...

2. If turn the sound loud will waste more battery power ??? I turn my psp sound just 1 block only and i can heard it but if i slot in the earphone maybe need use 5~7 block then only heard.

1. Sleep mode doesn't really consume battery power. Just go to sleep mode for your convenience. I have once gone on full charge and played for a moment only and put it on sleep, then without realizing it, left it in that mode for like a a good 8 to 9 days because I was away and when I came back, i turned on the PSP only to realize it was on sleep mode, and the battery indicater was on half bar.

So yeah i guess go on sleep mode cause it only consume very very minimal power, almost negligible, so no worries for convenience.

2. Turning up the sound doesn't really consume much power so don't worry. Just make sure you don't blow your PSP speakers.

Should you know, the only part which consumes A LOT OF POWER is playing:

a) heavy graphical games or watching videos
b) putting the brightness level at highest level (at lvl 4). You should, if possible, play at the lowest level setting to reserve battery. However, under bright conditions, like open air area, you have no choice but to bump the brightness up so play in a closed area if and when possible.

sleep mode consume a little bit of power, it is ok to be in sleep mode for minutes, days.. but not to a week. I once put in sleep mode, and i forget about it, i didnt touch my psp for a month, the battery left is 10%. After that, i never put in sleep mode if i plan to leave it for months..
Now, the battery stays 80% if i didnt charge it or play it within a month.

Sound uses the less electric energy among the all.

to save more energy, dun load things from UMD, dun let it spin.. haha..

So you mean we can't turn the PSP off completely? I mean, if you leave it for a month, why cn't you switch it off completely instead of sleep mode.

Sometime will be accidently do like that, VHunter tongue.gif

Thank you trancesition & mindkiller6610 about the the info, sound is it use alot electric, I had a experience about it on NDSL, if I turn on the NDSL sound loud, it really use alot battery power, maybe i try on psp and c how was it.

About the brightness, i just use the lowest 1, enought to me play at room, else like trancesition said, if play psp at outside, really need to turn brightness to be bright enought, if not, all screen will be dark dark biggrin.gif, especially afternoon with very strong sunshine lol.
