Anybody knows how to fix this? I just got my PSP flashed to the latest cfw 3.9 version, but I still can't surf the web properly. On web pages like Facebook and such, it mentioned that I should have Java installed. So how do it do that? Currently the page display is overlapping all over another.
Advise? Help needed. Thanks! |

QUOTE(socialgamer @ Apr 26 2008, 05:59 PM) Hi all, Best advise is to have your machine sent to a game shop to have it flashed. You run a higher risk of bricking your machine if you miscalculate your steps.I stay in Penang but will be getting a new PSP from Amazon thru a freind. Would like to know how to flash to customized firmware. I read the posts but there are too many pages and its overwhelming to go thru the post or FAQ. Can someone pls direct me to the newbie section where I can learn more about - how to upgarde to customized firmware. which is the most stable revision to run home-brew software and surfing the internet? - what is pandora battery? do we need it and why? - any know problem (or pro and con) of using compatible (Sandisk, Transcend etc) MSPD vs orginal Sony. Thank you. And apologize if these are real newbie questions. Regards and happy gaming. Pandora battery is a gadget required to flash your machine. You only need it if you plan to attempt the flashing yourself. The battery is quite pricey itself. One gamespot website did a comparable test between a Sony MPSD vs a Sandisk MPSD, and Sandisk came out tops with almost double the transfer rate. |

QUOTE(samliang @ Apr 27 2008, 06:53 PM) anyone selling this thing ?? please pm me asap http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=682525&hl= I know it can be pricey but have you tried Malaysia Sony for the parts? At least get a price estimate. Also, at least it is original. You don't want to buy some cheap knockoff plastics that don't even feel good pressing it. |

QUOTE(nicholaswf @ Apr 30 2008, 05:36 AM) a quick question, does it worth to buy psp at US? current price is USD170 (contain: Piano Black System,AC power cord,AC adaptor,Battery pack). That was what I did. Got a PSP from Best Buy in LA. USD 170 plus 8.25% tax so total was about USD 185 in total and after conversion, RM 580 in all (Itook advantage of the low US currency rate). Got it an pumped it up to cfw 3.90 M33-3 and so far no problems. So if you are asking, it's all good.later bring back to upgrade it to latest cfw? can anyone advice where can i get all the psp accesories? possible, pls do giv the link. thanks. ps: hand really itchy You can normally buy psp accessories here in Malaysia. However, there is one thing you probably might want to get it from the US because no one sells it here. Its a casing for the PSP, the slimmest and the best and doesn't add much weight or interupt the handling of your joystick or buttons, which is very important. It doesn't protect from shock, but helps in avioding greasy and scratch marks. There are a lot of cheap casing here in Malaysia that adds weight and doesn't really give you a good gameplay experience because the casing is so thick. Check this link out. http://nuritech.us/sony-psp-slim-amp-lite-...-skin-case.html Good luck. This post has been edited by trancesition: May 1 2008, 09:44 PM |

QUOTE(Fallen_D @ Apr 28 2008, 06:21 AM) Watch videos? How do somebody achieve this? For example, if i have around 4gb of avi movie, can i just put them in the PSP and watch it? Sorry my correction; its watch videos and movie and anything. Yes it is a full multimedia machine. As mentioned, you need to convert the .avi files into for example mp4. There are tons of free programs on the net to do so. And yeah, pretty much one full length movie is about 700 MB so you can virtually pump in about 5 movies into a 4GB MSPD.Surf the net? How do i surf the net without a keyboard? Yes, you can surf the net as well, but don;t expect the full experience like you get on a computer. The keyboard is a little difficult to handle, so don't expect to type a full email message, but its handy to check on things like your email messages, or forum reply updates and such on the go or at hotspots in shopping malls. Plenty of malls offer WiFi these days. However, there will be some sites that will be difficult to navigate, but nevertheless at least it still offers you a chance to go on the net without your most ultraportable notebook. Imagine a game-playing-net-surfing-music-listening-movie-watching-skype-calling device in your pocket. Where to find? iPod kalah teruk maximum. |

I need help. I just bought an original Hori Screen Protector and when i stuck it on the screen, I notice a small streak from top to bottom of my left side of the screen just wouldn't stick and bubbles (in a line from top to bottom) appears.
Thinking that the protector was defected, i unpeeled it and turn it around and restick it, only to find the same result. This means that my screen, on the left side is probably no even or so. Has anybody exprienced this and managed to rectify it? Please advise. |

QUOTE(vincent09 @ May 25 2008, 07:56 PM) Just pop some question about battery using. 1. Sleep mode doesn't really consume battery power. Just go to sleep mode for your convenience. I have once gone on full charge and played for a moment only and put it on sleep, then without realizing it, left it in that mode for like a a good 8 to 9 days because I was away and when I came back, i turned on the PSP only to realize it was on sleep mode, and the battery indicater was on half bar.1. If I switch to sleep mode, is it waste any battery power there? How long the sleep mode can be? 1 hour? 1 day ??? Sometime playing game suddently phone coming or anything happen need to stop quite long time, but the game is going half way already... 2. If turn the sound loud will waste more battery power ??? I turn my psp sound just 1 block only and i can heard it but if i slot in the earphone maybe need use 5~7 block then only heard. So yeah i guess go on sleep mode cause it only consume very very minimal power, almost negligible, so no worries for convenience. 2. Turning up the sound doesn't really consume much power so don't worry. Just make sure you don't blow your PSP speakers. Should you know, the only part which consumes A LOT OF POWER is playing: a) heavy graphical games or watching videos b) putting the brightness level at highest level (at lvl 4). You should, if possible, play at the lowest level setting to reserve battery. However, under bright conditions, like open air area, you have no choice but to bump the brightness up so play in a closed area if and when possible. |
