Fantastic audition today...
I love... the girl in red (the one that loves horses... dunno name as usual)  the last girl in the audition (the blue colour... one that dared simon cowell) and the braided haired dude (the one that simon said had a lot of confidence) and ROTFL for Princess Leila (girl) and Princess Leila (dude that got waxed just for paula, that ended up singing 1 1/2 seconds of "Don't Cha" ) and the stalker dude that sang for paula was downright creepy... Can't wait for TEXAS !!! |

The last one is so innocent. Never see an R rated movie before? I'd love to take her to one. And such a sweet voice. She and the outgoing martial arts learning are the two best ones for me.

wah this is the best AI audition i ever seen full of laughters on the bloody losing contestants and dumb dressing ones too.
KLC style is exactly like carrie underwood. i wont be surprise if she can win this year AI title. thats 2 country singer winning the title 2 years in a row.  aww and pity that emo fat girl until the 3 judges must teman her out of the hall and send praise 2 her parents saying she did very great 2 went this far. how sweet eh? also another favourite of mine is the patriotic rock chick wannabe showing lame victory sign and shoot a lot of F**K bombs on the camera behind the judges after not make it 2 hollywood. DUH! i seriously find the patriotic chick more funny and stupid than the star wars ala princess leila immitation chick. i think there is a lot more stupid moments but these are the most i can remember ah so far. i cant wait 2 see whats in stores 4 us in texas. Just watched the premier episode and I already have 2 favourites! Kristly Lee Cook and Brooke White!
 I hope they both make it to the top 12! Anyway, this has to be one of the best audition episode I've seen in awhile with a good mix of laughter and talent. I can't wait for Texas tomorrow! wow this episode seems like got less drama and over the top reaction 2 the losers. we are brothers forever indeed takes the cake 4 the best stupid performance that was way better than yesterday milo turk song, the dude with shaved chest hair and the sing like handicap dude with yellow coat. also got less F and vulgar sign too which was cool. wow i was amazed texas indeed has gotten so many good players all thanks 2 kelly clarkson texan inspiration i guess.
expect next week episode 2 be more explosive with anger and profanity. The dood was almost crying in the end! when he was like praising Simon... Lol that part was sooo funny! Simon kept saying "One More Time!" and "All Together Now!" and he kept going and going and going... I mean, it was damn obvious Simon was like sarcastic and all that, but the Renaldo dood just kept going and going taking it seriously... That really cracked me up!

Anyway, abt the dood living in the car... he deserved it... I mean yea, he lives in a car, boo-hoo, but its about the better singer, not the one u feel sorry for the most... I mean, he was lucky to even get considered to be in the 24... other ppl screwed up the last performance and got cut... he screwed up and still got to go thru... he was talented, i'll give him that, but the point is, he screwed up the in most important part... And like wat Simon said, if he wants to dismiss the band, he better be 100% sure he's gonna deliver... it was all down to over-confidence, and he didnt deliver... kinda like M&R from TARA, they were over confident too... Except that M&R were a little bit on the @$$ hole side and that kid was genuinely a good guy... So i feel sorry for him, but maybe its time he goes home and live with his parents again... Agree with Simon on KLC's song choice. You'd expect someone like Jennifer Hudson to sing that song. But KLC's a good sport, taking everything in her stride.
Haha, you should see the plus-size model's parents and their faces. They looked at Simon like they want to kill him. But I agree with Simon's assessment. Alaina Witakher (sp?) looks hot But, I don't really like her. : / Her songs are boring. Amanda @ Janis Joplin soundalike really makes me LOL. She looks like one of the aunties in Sabrina The Teenage Witch But I loved her energetic performance.Is there something wrong with Brooke's hands? Can't she hold the mic? A bit disappointed by her performance. My two favs (Brooke and KLC) sound mediocre. Wasn't it yesterday that I just heard "Happy Together" as well? At least there's humor in the comments. |

No particularly amazing performance from either the guys or girls,but some good ones here and there I suppose.
"Shoot" girl was pretty good,small girl with big voice as well Kady Malloy has really got to lighten up in her performances  But I think the performance that I'll actually remember from this week is Brooke's "Happy Together" Maybe not the best performance vocally,but definately very Brooke and very rememberable. I think that was my favourite performance |

i kinda pity those were eliminated . those ppl didnt get proper airtime during hollywood week. i mean take a look at that dude with the long hair(forgot his name already), i think he was virtually non existent in hollywood week. obviously no one knew who in the world he is and what potential he has compared to the rest. such a shame...
not saying he doesnt deserve to be eliminated though based on his performance, but he should at least be shown in hollywood week for at least a 2 mins |

Actually I think Kady Maloy performance is good, just don't know why all 3 judges criticize her so much.

is anybody downloading the full videos of the entire season thus far? by the end of the season until finals or whatever, can somebody burn for me the entire season? it should fit 2 dvds. id pay rm 10 pre poslaju. (rm5 per dvd) please some good soul, i know quite a few fans here dl it |

I think this season, the frontrunner - David Archuleta way too front, it's really hard to beat him seriously, which makes the show become less exiciting (cause no competition).

Nah it's still early to say. The probability of him winning seems high now,but it's not totally certain.Someone could spring up some zomgbbqsauce awesome performance and give him some competition.

my review for this week's performances
Luke Menard aka mcdreamy - missed his performance but from the flashback, doesnt sound that good - potential bottom 3 David Archuleta - as predicted, not as good as last week. top 6 Danny Noriega - agree with simon, not a good performance, hate the attitude, deserve to be eliminated David Hernandez - quite good - top 6 David Cook - top 2 performances in my opinion, i think the song will sounded better in full acoustic version with him plucking the guitar - top 6 Jason Castro - top 2 performance also. like it very much - top 6 Michael Johns - not bad but stop hopping like a kangaroo. still love his version of bohemian rhapsody until i use it as my ringtone - top 6 Chiekezie - not bad actually, but not great either - potential bottom 3 |

i think at this stage this season has a better cast than the last. what was poor about this season were the audition shows. there was nothing to equal the Bush Baby Kid and Big Red of last year, and Simon seemed pretty much disinterested most of the time.

since all the result already revealed, I can comment now.
I think I agree with lack of personality of Kady, and the vocal not really powerful compare with rest, which make sense for her to go, I am happy Asiah is gone, she is no way up to the impression gave by other girls to audience, even Kady is better than her. It's really danger for David Hernandez since DialIdol predict he is in the bottom 2 and his past being revealed definately have impact on him, but I am glad he make it through, one of the better male vocal in this season, but he has to give very good performance everytime to save himself, otherwise he will gone soon. Luke is 100% should gone, in fact he shouldn't make it to top 24 at all. Poor Danny, it's fun to see him on this show, but "Vote for the Worst" can't save him, no more Sanjaya this season. Within the top 12, all are actually quite good, except one is way too overrated: Jason Castro. |

American Idol Golden Boy David Archuleta Forgets The Words
During the American Idol top twelve performance show, the golden boy's nerves got the better of him. With the highly prized final performance slot waiting for him, it looked like David Archuleta was set up for another knock out performance. Viewers at home were likely already anticipating Randy yelling "Dawg," Paula exclaiming "You're a star," and Simon Cowell telling the other contestants they might as well pack it up and go home. However, this time David Archuleta didn't deliver. And we're not talking just a couple slight pitch problems like last week, but possibly one of the worst performances in Idol finalist history. During his performance of "We Can Work It Out," David Archuleta forgot the words to the song on multiple occasions and his vocals fell flat. Instead of raving over the golden boy, the American Idol judges were not kind. Randy Jackson said it wasn't on point, felt forced, and didn't work for him. Paula Abdul said it wasn't David's best week and pointed out that he forgot the lyrics. Simon Cowell summed it up best by calling it "a mess." |

I only watched Chikezie, Brooke, Carly, David Archuleta's performances (youtube) and...
Chikezie's performance is crazily fun to watch!! And he also looks like he enjoys it alot, but for a moment I thought he was possessed lol! Brooke was very good on that performance. I didnt like Carly's.. And what happened to little Archuleta? OMG, he was lost since the very begining, and his confidence was just totally parachuting to the lowest point when he forgot his lyrics!! His movements became very stiff, and he juz went off-pitch everywhere! I could barely recognize him on his performance, and it's very, very painful to watch cos I know he can sing very very well! For Archuleta's fans, this is a spanish song that Archuleta sang when he was 12 or 13. I think his voice control was much better when he was younger. Archuleta singing "I will always love you" (almost as good as Whitney Houston, holy shit!!) Brooke was superb again last night!!! And that makes it 3 great performances for the past 3 weeks!
Besides Brooke, Carly also impressed me and I was surprised with Chikeze's performance although I don't really like him! The genius behind the Beatles compositions is their outrageous chord progression and unconventional harmony which is at the real edge of falling apart and ruining the whole song yet somehow through some magic remains coherent. Tampering with genius simply doesn't work. But it just seemed to me like they were trying to milk the whole thing. I dunno...maybe it's just me. they get paid for the live advertisement just like mentioning coca cola once in awhile.
same with itunes and ipod. but yeah it does get annoying. re: the beatles songs, they're paying premium royalty for it to play the songs in this competition so i guess you're right, they wanna milk it dry and get their moneys worth. although i think backfired for this week though coz i nearly slept thru the show and the elimination just now. yes rocker chick finally out, although have to admit she was good last week. but like i said before, same ole stuff from her and no versatility, and when simon points that out, it kills anyone chances. it seems the judges critiques do affect the people votes... too bad really, cant the audience decide on their own who they like. anyhow.... |

You know when i first heard David Cook's Billie Jean i was blown away. But after some googling it turns out it wasn't his original arrangement. To be fair Ryan Seacrest did credit Chris Cornell (one of my favourite rock vocalists
) when he introduced the song but the judges seemed oblivious to it. But taking nothing away from David he still did an amazing job with the vocals. |

yeah dont sweat it, ive learned to stay away from this thread before the show on astro.
gotta say this week a bit better than last week. okay much better but still not up to what i was expecting. but a bit too bad for chikezie, he sang very well when he left though. i think there were others more deserving to leave at this stage David Cook sometimes if you watch him, it feels the song not too great when he sings it. but if you listen to his itunes version, they sound great when you cant see his face. heh funny, altho im still a fan. |

Well, the top 9, the best i would say Michael Johns, i was supposed to think that it was a country week but johns sounds kinda different from others, he was kinda like remake the song to be his own. not to say i like him but his performance was the best of the night. The rest were just simply boring, no offense to country music.
Anyway, did anyone know Mariah is gonna be a mentor in AI for the top 7? The show needs her to make it more worthy for watching |

Sad, but most probable. And she really needs to listen to Simon's advice and find a new fashion consultant. I actually thought KLC sang pretty well this week. I think this is the first time I actually liked her performance

Wow... I have watched only 1 hour of the Idol Gives Back and I feel really sorry for the less fortunate. It makes us think about other people who have absolutely nothing in this world.
The kids who have no playground and can't enjoy themselves because of strong gang-related violence. That lady who lost all her 3 daughters. That family of brothers who have no parents and no grandparents, depending only on their eldest brother who is even younger than I am. That was the last. I turned off the TV. yep just a biz. its the same with their charities over there. sometimes when they do food aid and take in donations, they actually buy and get rid of food items (new or packaged) that are near their due date.. nearly rotten food, so that it doesnt go to waste and they still make money. been goin on for ages.
they could take more proactive measures to combat malaria and etc in those countries. the nets and etc benefits the companies more than anyone else. He sang a very good rendition of a jazzy If I Fell, which is one of the best Beatles performer of that 2 weeks. He sang an acapella version of Hallelujah and this week, with that incredibly tough song Somewhere Over The Rainbow. And he has been improving week after week. You gotta admit, he and Cook are the only fun contestant to watch now. |

I disagree as well. This year has been unique in my opinion. I actually found last year boring.
I've so far held my reservations about David Cook's originality (that Billie Jean arrangement wasn't his) but this week....just hand the guy the damn thing already! well i did say im a fan of cooks.. but in overall talent, this year lacking to last years....
but anyhow.. we are all straying a bit off topic, comparisons are fine but lets just enjoy the music eh? (even tho i started the whole comparison thing) i still stand its not as good as previous years but that doesnt mean i cant enjoy this year as well. btw, its a bit too bad but i missed the first half of todays show... cooks song when he started i thought it wasnt goin to work but when he added the rock element he was taking no prisoners. |

Daughtry my fav singer from all the AI seasons. Elliot yamin 2nd Katherine McPhee 3rd. Bo Bice singing without the background music and Fantasia's Summertime were my favorites. Carrie Underwood's Alone had to be close too.

yep think i was vindicated tonight.
Castro and Brooke both nearly similar and was not on form tonight. I beg to differ about Syesha tho, i thought she was brilliant. David A as always i said overrated and not that good. David Cook sang well but the song not my cup o tea. BUT hats off to the best performance of the night to Carly. She sang really well and was fun to watch.. altho i dont quite get the song. nonetheless, it was expected (castro or brooke should go next) but coz brooke made that mistake, shed might go first. |

OMG I take back whatever I said previously about Syesha. She absolutely owned the night this week! The Cook dude was damned good too, though if I were to nitpick I didn't think the edgy shouty last note fit in with the rest of the performance. But again, Syesha...wow! And she looked great!

IMO, Jason Castro's performance has been falling flat. Like Simon says his performance were not outstanding, unique and just plain blah-another-meh-song. I hate those stupid voters who votes him just for his looks and not his singing which is what American Idol is. See what happened to Melinda Doolitle in the last season. How the heck did she not make the Idol? She was incomparable to Blake and Jordin.
