Good bye my dear friend..May you have a pleasent journey towards the other end...You have been a great companion for the past 5 months..

I remember this picture..its just few days after i brought you home..you were playful and charming in the same time...

this was you with your companion (Chibot) just 2 days before your sudden death..i remember you jump and hop arround restlessly when i put both of you in the play pen.....hahahaa..i remember how silly you look when you tried to dig holes near the fence...i know its your nature to dig holes but i've never see you doing that before!!

See how tired you look after hooping arround the play pen for the whole day....
My friend....i know i've promised you to let you meet and play with your new partner (Lunar) when she's matured enough...did you remember that pal??
i know she's hot...i saw how you tried to kiss her from the next cage the night i brought her home...how you tried to cath her attention......i can see it in your eyes that you want her badly......she's still under age pal..........

and also how can i forgot the look from your face when i took her away from your cage so i can bring her to my wife house in pahang?? sorry friend...i didnt meant to hurt your feelings......
May you found your peacefulness there...I'm sure there will be thousands of your new friend and mates waiting for you there....as excited they will be for you, i know i will miss you badly.......missing the way you jump right up on your feet when you know i'm coming....the way you bow your head when i open the cage asking for some massage and nose petting....I'll miss you my friend...i know i'll be missing you....... cry.gif  cry.gif  cry.gif
To my dearest pal...may you have a pleasent journey there.....  R.I.P PiPi...

Teewai,

Sorry to hear about the passing of ur PIPI. But I am really curious of the cause of death. Was it diet related. If you are able to share some symptoms with us maybe we could all learn something from this expensive lesson.

I think you better bring it to vet. Try giving it Alfafa Hay/Timothy hay.

Well, baths are not necessary, unless your rabbit is sooooo dirty like mine. Heres a step(DON'T BATH IT WHEN YOUR RABBIT IS SICK)
QUOTE
Most rabbits do not enjoy enjoy getting wet and may find baths to be quite stressful. Besides, your rabbit keeps clean by constantly grooming itself, so it is not a must to bathe your rabbit.

A sick rabbit must NEVER be given baths, unless recommended by a rabbit-savvy veterinarian.

You may try spot-cleaning instead, if your rabbit has a particular dirty spot on its coat. Apply some baby cornstarch (usually available at the baby section of the supermarket) to the dirty spot, then gently comb out the dirt. Do not use talcum, as it is carcinogenic.

If you do bathe your rabbit, be sure to thoroughly blow dry it until the undercoat is dry and fluffy. Rabbits are sensitive to heat, so make sure the setting on your hair dryer is no higher than 'warm'. Use your hand to check that the air from the hair dryer is not too hot.

An alternative to baths are dry rabbit shampoos, which come in powder form. All you need to do is to rub the dry shampoo into your rabbit's coat, brush off the powder after a while and finish by wiping a damp cloth over your rabbit's coat.

Added on January 22, 2008, 11:00 pmOh ya guys, when you bring your rabbit play outside from its cage, how to make it not to poop everywhere? My rabbit keep poop when i bring inside my house. sweat.gif

pooping everywhere is a sign of marking territory. Get it neutered or spayed to make sure no territorial marking. Else, u just have to live with it....

sorry to hear valarie.....

I have got a feeling that most sudden death that you guys experiencing with your bunnies lately is due to GI Stasis. The symptoms are very consistent. They stop eating and drinking then the next thing you know they are dead.

Read up on GI STASIS people!!! It is not a disease just some underlying problem that causes the stomach to stop churning. No liquid goes in then hairball builds up. The gut get stuck, the bunny stomach bloats, no appetite and dies.....within 24 hours....

Prevention:
1) Feed good DIET
2) Feed lotsa HAY
3) Feed fresh vegetables
4) Let them out for exercise (stimulate digestion)

Now you think raising a rabbit is easy? Not quite huh?

i am sorry to hear the death of our friends bunnies..
may they rest in peace..

btw all bunnies owner must pay attention to what sangterap said..
i think many bunnies have risk to get GI stasis if we only feed them with pallet, without hay and veges...

remember, prevention is better than cure

the other rabit bit is doig fine. She tends to eat everything. Even the Aloe vera i plant at the back yard.
Actually, i leave them to run around at the backyard. Which includ 2 chicken. And the girl bit bit (boy bit bit "dead") even eat the chicken pallet. is it ok??

guys, most plant in that you placed in your house might not be safe for rabbit to nibble on... you need to find before you let them eat... aloe is under toxic plant for rabbit to consume, please keep it away from rabbit! Not all green is good for rabbit...

you might the want to ask where to find such info, the link i gave to you guys in front is good place to start... please please and please, i beg of you guys to check out those info before letting your bunny wander around un-supervise.... please, for the sake of the rabbits....

Toxic Plants

How I come across this site? Well, I was trying to find out which household I could use to clean and disinfect Kimi's cage and I as scroll around I saw rabbitproofing section and there I found out about plants at home... I thought they might seems harmless but not anymore... Anyway I found out that we can use Distilled Vinegar to clean your rabbit cage...
