I don't think that can be off.
May I ask why you wanted to off that indicator thingy?

Thanks for the reply regarding the phone's call summary...
Is there anyway I can make a fast shortcut to on the vibrate function?
I always switch off the phone when I go to sleep. Is this ok? Seems like you people don't like to switch off the phone.

I think it is not that we don't like to switch off the phone during sleeping over the night. It is we don't like to have to switch it back on in the morning biggrin.gif biggrin.gif . It's troublesome.

Dude, this is 21st century, we're not at the 90's Nokia 3310 age.
Over charged problem already being solved for quite some time.
When our phone is fully charged, the current will stop flowing into our phone even thou the phone is still on and being charged.

Er, first you gotta know what brand of reciever you brought, Holux, Garmin etc. If its Garmin then its easy you just download GarminXT from the site and you will be running in no time.

If its Holux or other brands and you still want the latest maps, goto MalSing Maps and follow the guide for "Non-Garmin Recievers"

But you touch the charger and see its really hot huh? Yeah the current stops flowing to the phone but the charger still retains conductivity. Personally I'd rather off the charger you know, extend the shelf life of things.. icon_rolleyes.gif

guys, there's a disassembly and fixing guide posted up on esato and p1iblog.
anyone who wishes to fix the phone themself can refer to the guide as it is very comprehensive since it is the official documents for sony ericsson's technician. refer here:

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=167681

and the damn p1iblog.com, made me so excited about the p1i with UIQ 4.0 update which ended up as an april fool joke.

beware users of P1, while going through the technician's service manual i found that the phone has a liquid intrusion detector. its basically just tiny piece of litmus paper stuck on the PCB near the camera. so if you do take the phone for a dive, there is absolutely no way to fool the service centre that the phone wasnt exposed to water.
