dun no why u facing that difficulties,
mine really smooth n easy..no hassle2...but to explain it to u also im not so pro, coz mine when i wanna connect it to wifi (where there is wifi), it will connect...
if not in wifi, it use 3g connection...
for certain ppl will find this p1i (most features in a mobile @ rm12xx) quite hard, as for me, at 1st i js find quite hard to adopt to its qwerty...thats all..now i already can utilize it and get use to it

Yeah i agree... nothing bad about this phone except for the qwert keyboard that needs some time to get used to which i already have =)
This phone is great with its function available and price, is a good offer if you were to find a similar functions on other phone i believe it will be more expensive

Yep, my wifi connection got no problem as well, smoothly run... just that when i'm on it... my battery drains fast

Then can I get other free screensaver from the internet and change it?

You can use any .gif type for animated screensaver.

It works like a pendrive if you pull out the cable when transferring data your memory could get corrupted.

had used before few models of SE phones.. always worry about the fast port, after long term use, the fast port connection will start to get loose with the earphone or usb, even charger...

i believe some of you face the same problems right?

Yes, happened to me before and most likely to happen again in the future because I'm still using Sony Ericsson phone . Btw. if you're facing the problem right now, you could try to clean the metal plate on the port. Don't use anything that will scratch the plate or your problem might get worse. Cleaning with isopropyl alcohol should do the trick

other than martine field, which protector screen and lens are good?

I'm still looking for a screen protector. Can we just use the normal one? It seems like martine field is not cheap.

I think fx_53_xt should include some tips on battery care on the first page. It will really help us save $$ on buying new batteries.
Here is some general tips on battery care for Li-ion.

1. Alot of people say drain the battery to zero then recharge is bad for Li-ion. Its okay for Ni-cad but not Li-ion. Keep your battery level to around 50% and possible don't let it fall below that.

2. As above, recharge your battery when it reaches around 50%, not when its 90%+

3. Sometimes you would need to do a marking process on the battery to let it display properly battery capacity. Drain your battery completely once in 2months or so. Ever wondered why your battery capacity jumps around? Thats why.
( I myself tested this last time, the results shows after only extended usage)

4. It is better not to overcharge your phone to get that extra usage period. Always a good practice to disconnect the power cable after your battery is fully charged.

4. Some people MIGHT not know this. When using your phone for the first time, FULLY CHARGE YOUR BATTERY
