QUOTE(AIYH @ Feb 10 2017, 02:10 PM) The illustration didnt factor in what Hongz mentioned, if you pay off the principal earlier, ujrah for the reamining tenure is waived Not to mention the discount Sorry but I'm also very noob in finance and maths. My question is on the Ujrah, if keep paying every month regardless of amount (more than monthly payment), Ujrah payment will not change right? I pay RM 327.44, RM 500 or RM 1k per month, my Ujrah is still RM 56.45, correct? It will end only on the day I finish paying my loan which has a balance of around RM 62k now, right?

QUOTE(skylee18 @ Feb 10 2017, 02:15 PM) you need to observe your "penyata" but the point behind all these isn't about that small bit of interest charge but its about how to utilize your money on the side of paying full /paying more/paying promptly of course , you need to calculate 1)if you use that lump sum of money to do investment, does it actually capable to earn more than [interest + 15% rebate]? if yes then good but my calculation told me its not 2)if you pay more and no rebates [only 10% monthly for now until end of 2017], is it really save your money? how much compare to if you use the extra to do investment? 3)if you pay only sufficient amount per month, then you have plenty of choices to make if you have additional money so it depends on how you going to use your money into a more effective way because no matter what you still need to submit that amount of money Noted. I'm not an investor. I only invest in mutual fund and rest of my money goes into Maybank GIA-i. I'm an avid credit card user and willing to pay PTPTN for cash back. Anyway, I got your idea and I have checked through my penyata, Ujrah amount has never changed, it is the same no matter how much I pay.

QUOTE(HoNgZ @ Feb 10 2017, 02:20 PM) skylee18 was calculated it right, his example is exactly my case. when i pay 183.33, ptptn deduct 16.67 as ujrah, but when i pay 550, it deduct 50.01 as ujrah. You can check the screenshot of my statement and for your case, maybe you need to ask ptptn directly Thanks. This is mine. I will find time to clarify with them, though PTPTN branch is very close to my office but the waiting time is killing. p/s: 500-490.78 = 9.22 <-- I have use this amount to pay for my Takaful. QUOTE(AIYH @ Feb 10 2017, 02:37 PM) Point is you will eventually pay the ujrah throughout the tenure even if you decide to pay earlier or in advance just like HP. That's why is better to pay according to schedule, extra money goes into investment, even just mutual funds, with roughly 6-8% conservative, you will still earn far more than you pay off early. (if you plan and manage it right) Of course, depends on the credit card promo for government service, but normally your monthly payment will exceed the cash back limit you can gain (e.g. public bank debit card promo and last time ocbc promo) My extra money is less than RM 200 as I pay RM 500 per month. Anyway, thanks for your valuable advice. I know what to do now.

I looked through my penyata baki terperinci and I noticed something... I usually pay via counter and it seems my interest wasn't deducted. Last month I paid via online portal and my interest was deducted. Since the interest wasn't accumulated, I supposed nothing amiss here? *highlighted in yellow = payment via counter *highlighted in green = payment via online

QUOTE(hirano @ Mar 5 2017, 10:45 PM) Cimb cashback has max limit 30? So not much of a use then? I was thinking to apply a cimb or maybank cc if it's useful gor my ptptpn full repayment (13k) If no limit and with 5% cash back, banks can close shop lo. I think HLB Fortune may suit you. Check it out.

So long you are still paying for loan, your name will be in CCRIS.
CCRIS is to record all your credit history, all types of loans and credit cards will be shown there.
If payment is consistent, the scoring will be 0. Else, there will be numbering there.

QUOTE(MonGJiHyo @ Mar 6 2017, 10:26 PM) yupe.. a figure of 24 means a person have outstanding for 24 months.. my friend just checked and his statement shows 9 which means he already had outstanding for 9 months.. I wonder how bad is mine, though I have been paying consistently now. Gotta see how long more to recover the dent. I will print mine when I go back to Malaysia next month. At least I will have an indication though I know it's very difficult for all my credit stuff to be approved now.

QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 6 2017, 10:42 PM) I know mine is already screwed! Mine either and I hope that I can have a letter from PTPTN to support me for my future loans. For now I can only apply additional cards or upgrade cards from my existing banks' credit cards. I will seek for advice when such need arises.

QUOTE(nipaa1412 @ Mar 7 2017, 05:20 PM) I believe not. And no, I didn't pay back the missed ones. It has already affected your CCRIS and may have been barred from exiting Malaysia. You will need to check these out and pay a visit to the nearest PTPTN office.

QUOTE(nipaa1412 @ Mar 7 2017, 05:32 PM) So far I have not been barred from exiting Malaysia but I think this might change very quickly Ah ok ok....so those small payments does not count. Because of reasons, I was thinking of paying RM1k per month until the tunggakan finished. But I am still at risk of immigration and credit issue right? Yes, it will be updated quite frequently. Your tunggakan will be keep adding up unless you clear off everything. Your CCRIS record is already gone case, now just hoping immigration will be OK for now.

Can you login to your Penyata Kira-Kira page? You can pay from there. I paid mine using CC from there last month. It's my first time using portal to pay, so not sure how it is shown. Anyway, they just split principal and interest payment.

QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 8 2017, 07:10 PM) How much to go into 1128 and 1148? It depends on the installment amount. I have a feeling 1128 amount can be changed. Let me try, I will pay soon.

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Mar 9 2017, 06:06 PM) the ptptn portal is abit weird. If I dont accept the exact amount shown there, let say I want to pay more then the stated amount. When I click "Bayar" I get signature error like this : {"response":"Signature tidak sah untuk uuid: 23903714-dec3-4168-8995-282fd01ac225","result":"failure"} I cant even pay 1 cent more. Not allowed. But I can adjust to pay less QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 9 2017, 06:15 PM) Yes. It is auto adjusted by itself after you keyed in the big amount that you want to pay at the Penyata Baki page. Once you arrived at the second page after clicking on the Bayar button, you can't change anything on the 1128 and 1148. QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 9 2017, 06:30 PM) Sorry, I misread. You can pay less but not pay more. To pay, repeat the step. There's no 53 cents charges if you pay using CC. Wah, cannot pay more? If I repeat the step means I may need to pay another round of Ujrah? I haven't tried yet.

It's OK. I will try myself since I will need to pay as well.
