QUOTE(karLz @ Dec 6 2016, 10:53 PM) Which branch will u prefer to go? KL Sentral for now because it's just in front of my office. So, it means I need to have consistent payment. Looks like I will need to pay via JOMPay when I'm not around in country after CNY for a short assignment. Though no cash back for me to pay via JOMPay but better than not paying anything and slapped with interest.

QUOTE(karLz @ Dec 6 2016, 11:06 PM) Just now u said wanna make lumpsum payment?? or just sign up for direct debit to get 10% discount on monthly payment until dec 2017. Lump sum payment for the two months I missed (Nov and Dec). After that will consistently pay to them every month. Not a fan of auto debit. Plus I prefer to pay using my CC.

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Dec 10 2016, 06:47 PM) their office must be near your office then for you to be able to do that monthly. kuching utc is too far from my office. I don't want lump sum as I know it calculates as a missed payment. Super near, just across the road. It's the waiting time only but again usually payment queue is short.

QUOTE(HMMaster @ Dec 11 2016, 09:37 AM) The ujrah is kinda like car loan. They calculate the total amount of ujrah that you need to pay and divide into monthly amount. So whether you pay more or less, you still will get the same amount for the ujrah. But you might be able to save some on the insurance though. (very minimal, probably few sens only) If you do full settlement, then you don't need to pay the remaining ujrah. (thats what I understand la) Every month still has interest even if you have paid advanced for more than a year.

QUOTE(ptptn @ Dec 17 2016, 12:39 AM) There are two situation on takaful payment. 1st Ptptn deduct takaful when make disbursement every semester when u study. So u dont need to pay takaful during the payment schedule period. Ptptn will deduct from the advance takaful. If u full settle ur loan early, ptptn will rebate the excess takaful 2nd case ptptn failed to deduct takaful during disbursement. So, ptptn will add the takaful monthly. If u wish to pay the takaful U need to ask favor the staff to deduct the takaful 1st. Or else ptptn will deduct on your last payment. Thanks. For e.g., I pay RM 500. Can I tell the staff to put RM 100 to Takaful and RM 400 to my bayaran balik? No late interest for Takaful right? Since the amount of Takaful is so small, I assume my RM 100 can last for many months? Will it take as advanced payment?

QUOTE(heavensea @ Dec 22 2016, 12:37 PM) hopefully got 15-20% discount for half settlement. Full settlement only gets 15% and half settlement you are hoping for 15%-20%? "...For full settlement of outstanding debt, a 15 per cent discount would be given, while a 10 per cent discount would be given for payment of at least 50 per cent of the outstanding debt..." http://www.nst.com.my/news/2016/10/182258/...ptptn-loans?m=1This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 22 2016, 01:40 PM

I need some clarification here. My monthly payment is RM 327, I always pay RM 500 every month. Let's say if one of the months I pay RM 1k, can I stop paying for 2 months? Or I still need to be consistently paying at least RM 327 every month... To make sure my CCRIS record is beautified and fixed? Ujrah by the way.

QUOTE(jmas @ Jan 16 2017, 11:56 AM) . I always do this, pay 1k then stop for few months. Just always check with PTPTN to make sure you got no tunggakan. My monthly commitment for PTPTN is only RM122. Degree result very bad, got 1/3 of full loan only. How about your CCRIS? Have you checked if it is consistently zerolized every month?

QUOTE(jmas @ Jan 16 2017, 12:13 PM) Longtime didnt check CCRIS liao, but latest CTOS report show got missed payment. Better you ask PTPTN counter/hotline. Better yet, setup auto-debit with online banking. Oh, then I won't take the risk. I will consistently paying for it. Nah, no auto-debit. I pay with CC every month as PTPTN office is in front of my office.

PTPTN, apparently the insurance takaful is a one-off payment rather than monthly payment? I went and cleared today and the lady told me once I cleared this - RM 9.22 (I think this is the amount), I don't need to pay anymore?

QUOTE(ptptn @ Jan 17 2017, 03:34 PM) i dont think so. unless u have prepaid the insurance then u do not need to pay next time. Try see nexth month, ask the staff if u still have insurance outstanding. btw did u go to klsentral branch? Exactly. I wanted to pay RM 100 to keep it under Takaful, she said cannot. She will help me to deduct out RM 9.xx from my RM 500 to insurance and the remaining goes to my monthly payment. I only received one receipt that shows bayaran pinjaman - RM 500 and asked her, she said she will help to deduct to insurance. I hope she really does. Yes, KL Sentral branch.

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 17 2017, 03:57 PM) I made payment using JomPay. I noticed that the payment to the Takaful section is not adjusted accordingly from the amount paid using JomPay. Same as if payment over counter. It will not adjust unless requested. Oh well, I just requested, will check out my penyata in few days later.

QUOTE(David83 @ Jan 19 2017, 12:59 PM) This link will help you to divert to the correct link. I think I don't really like PTPTN website is that they have too many links and it is rather confusing! OK, I have been checking using this website to check all the time, didn't notice there is a change.
