I used to have 6k outstanding, hv been paying more every month for a year and reduce to 4k now. I'm thinking if i should use a CC to settle the outstanding 4k and get a 0% balance transfer instead. Anyone did that before? is it doable/advisable?
*
Yes, that way you get 20% off as well.
How I wish my outstanding is 6k or 4k, I will definitely clear it and use BT after that...
My outstanding is still RM 50+k. doh.gif

Auto debit using amex?
*
Nope. Pay manually every month.
For PTPTN, cannot use credit cards for auto-debit.

*
I still prefer flexibility, hence I didn't opt for auto-debit.

Thanks.
The amount is too small to be paid every month!
*
You pay the Ujrah and insurance in one lump sum every month right? That said the PTPTN officer told me before insurance can even pay one shot at the end of payment.

Now, I pay at Portal using PBB Quantum MC.

I remembered last time I paid using JomPay, they don't adjust the insurance portion.
*
Portal can include insurance payment.

I'm more than happy to pay back and if it's scrapped off of course it's a better thing to me. laugh.gif

So I will continue paying with my credit card every month to earn cash back. icon_rolleyes.gif

As much as I don't want to bring in political issue into this topic but I will rather give chance to a new change than being stagnant with what it is now.

There's button called "Semakan No Pinjaman"
*
Yes, I was referring to the button. Typed too fast.

After overnight consideration, I'm considering to pay off my debt using EPF for 20% discount, I can save around RM 10.8k. Well, I'm not willing to be deducted with 15% every month.

Probably I think I just pay by credit card and BT them.
*
I thought of this option too but my debt amount after discount is RM 42k. So, I have to split into few cards and BT into 12 months and 6 months.
I only have one 12 months option now.

Or else, I pay partially with EPF and BT the remaining. I will need to work on the budget.

So how you guys make payment via online after getting the figure from budget2018 portal? Tried calling in the hotline, cant call in at all
*
I supposed you can pay accordingly and walk-in to nearest PTPTN to get the settlement.

QUOTE(HMMaster @ Dec 6 2018, 11:37 AM)
Yea... better work it out. Else it will no difference from paying the 15% if the BT repayment is the same.
*
Actually more than 15% if go by BT option but cleared in 12 months, if monthly payment of 15%, I may be able to clear within 3 years. laugh.gif

Pay accordingly by the after 20% discount figure online and bring the letter to PTPTN for settlement letter?
*
If you can walk in to clarify but that's the best. However, since multiple payments can be made within the same month, then should be OK to settle ourselves and walk in to get settlement letter.

After deep calculation, I gain more saving.
20% discount + monthly ujrah cost for remaining tenure.
Since I'm just to pay for 10% to 15 of my gross monthly salary next year, why not pay full with CC.
Turn the paid amount in CC into 0% installment and/or BT. The installment is about the same.
*
My amount is too significant and if BT also gonna cost a lot every month. laugh.gif
Anyway, I may go for partial withdrawal via EPF and the rest paid CC. Need to prepare few CCs. laugh.gif

Does anyone know what exactly is needed for EPF account 2 withdrawal? I planned to withdraw around 67% of it and the remaining will be paid from my CC to earn some cash back before converting to 12 months BT.

I Googled and I can apply via online e-Pengeluaran form, however I cannot remember my tarikh mula pengajian and tamat pengajian. Also the dates can only be backdated to last 10 years, I started my degree program before that. blush.gif

I guess I have no choice but to walk into the nearest EPF centre to apply for withdrawal. If anybody knows what else is needed besides my Degree transcript and cert, then please let me know. smile.gif I just don't want to spend few trips there for the same thing.

Also how long will it take for it to be transferred to PTPTN? Thanks!

Not much details from PTPTN website:
https://www.ptptn.gov.my/faq-bayaran-balik-...n-akaun-ii-kwsp

Guess you need to follow EPF Account II requirement.

I found more information from EPF website but still worried I miss out anything as I'm going back to hometown today after work later and will be off for one whole month. My other documents are in my PJ house. sweat.gif I already prepared my transcript and cert.

Looks like I will call EPF and PTPTN later, hopefully the lines are not congested. sweat.gif
